Problematic lyrics aside. Cookie is their best song and that's just a fact. The ranking is Cookie Then Attention, then Hype Boy, then Hurt. All are still A+ bops though.

Their recent music is generally way better than their old music. Actually ever since HYBE took over their company, their music became way more memorable. "HOT" is by far their best song, and is a whole bop, and I love the post-chorus "HOT" is very SKZ & NCT, which is probably why I clicked with it instantly 

 

I also loved "Thanks", such a beautiful song, and it gives me "Inception" vibes by ATEEZ, which I also love

 

The Performance Team is by far their best sub-unit, and they have the best songs as well out of all the other units.

The thing I have noticed with SVT is that their synchronization is top tier, and one of the best I have seen in the industry, omg??? They have a very strong dance-line in general, and every member seem to be able to hold their own in dance as well. And their line distribution is very fair, even though they are 13 members! They are very good at utilizing every member in general, which I thought would be impossible since they a freaking 13 members  But somehow they made it work, and you can distinguish every member and feel their presence, which is something TREASURE failed to do.  It was very clever of them to put the members in those different fixed sub-units with MV's, since it gave them an identity, and made it easier to distinguish each and every member.

 

However I was  kinda shocked seeing a midget in there aka Woozi, and he's kinda distracting sometimes in their choreos and formations due to obvious reasons. 

 

Jun, Mingyu & DK are the visual trinity wow. 

 

S.Coups is kinda ugly, but kinda handsome at the same, like I can't describe it? He's low key serving "The Hills Have Eyes", but like a very handsome version if that makes sense? 

 

Jeonghan is giving LGBT vibes and I yelled when I saw him with the Heechul hair, and thank god he got rid of it. I still can't get that image out of my head when I see him though. He kinda sounds like LAY from EXO. 

 

Vernon is definitely the star of the group, due to him being the most recognizable member, since he kinda looks like Tom Holland. I still don't whether I find him handsome or not, since he's like "ugly handsome" just like S.Coups. He also kinda resembles Lee Know a little bit? If Lee Know had a biracial half-brother that would be Vernon. Lee Know would obviously be the hotter brother though, don't get it twisted:

Yeah their music quality has been going up with every release and I love it. And Woozi “the midget” is responsible for it as he composes literally all their music and the members are equally vital to the writing as well, especially the hiphop unit (Vernon’s raps are always very solid). Woozi is hands down one of the most talented people in this industry and no one can say otherwise. Seventeen is the best “self-producing” group among the self-producing groups out there for me along with G-IDLE, that’s for sure. I want Woozi and Soyeon to collab and come up with something one day. 
 

for me, Scoups is super handsome and he usually looks the best when he doesn’t have heavy makeup or embellishments. I love his baby-face even though the man is almost 30. But for me the visual trinity is Mingyu, Jun and Joshua. And yeah jeonghan had long hair in the beginning and not a lot of people can pull it off unless you’re naturally pretty, which he is  And noooo lmao not LAY, jeonghan’s voice might be softer than the others in the vocal team but he’s a very capable vocalist with so much flavor. I don’t even have to talk about the rest of the vocal team: DK and Seungkwan are probably the best male vocalists in the 3rd gen bgs excluding EXO, or even 4th gen. DK’s power and range is unbelievable. 

Vernon is indeed the default member who brings in the most fans I guess because he’s the most recognizable being mixed race. I do not see any similarity with Lee Know AT ALL, idk where you got that from lmao. Lee Know looks more like Jun to me, and Jun is more naturally pretty without makeup imo 

I agree, their subunit system really lets all the members shine and that’s why everyone has an input in creating the music and visuals, and the line distribution is fairer even though there’s 13 members. And it’s impressive how they’ve stayed so close and renewed their contracts after all these years.

 

And yup the performance unit is great since all 4 of them are incredibly versatile in any dance form. Hoshi and Dino actually make most of the seventeen choreos. (Dino can actually SING and even writes raps but that’s for another day lol. TALENT).  But yes the group is actually known for their dance synchronization. Just watch any of their dance practice or live full-cams. And overall, I literally can’t find a less talented member in that group, no filler at all. Pledis really got lucky. Even Mingyu, who some people might call just a “visual” is a talented rapper and performer who sings most of the melodic parts in their hiphop unit songs.
 

Personally, HOT is among my least favorite from them because they shine in songs which are more emotional and reflective with an electro-pop sound like Don’t Wanna Cry and THANKS. But I do enjoy their quirky bops like Left & Right and Very Nice, which is so quintessential Seventeen and they pull it off so well. You should also check out their Japanese tracks, which are among the best I’ve heard from a kpop group. These bops 

 

 

All in all, there is a lot to unpack here because they’re a huge group with a huge discography and so much variety in their craft. But lemme just end it here. Glad you checked them out. It’s always nice when new people are blessed by my bois

JYP always play safe in the first tour. Their concerts sold out effortless in the first day and It didn't have any additional date. I think they could easily do a mix of arenas and theaters.

I sometimes forgot how short the SKZ members are as well  It's because most of the members are short, so it can't really be seen.
