fauxtography Posted September 20, 2022 Posted September 20, 2022 Pour one out for the girls that never got past one single with no video!

We'll see the after effect in a year or two (like how keppler went from hot to not in less than a year) I guess if you count 4th gen as 2020 onwards it makes a bit more sense for it to be shifting so much since it hasn't been that long but... it still feels like its changing a lot compared to 3rd gen

Kpop companies know that at this point and have stopped trying to do anything quality driven. I'm hoping and praying aespa's lack of a hardcore dedicated fandom served them with Girls underperforming. There is no way SM is happy about the digital performance of this era. I would be very surprised to see them come back with another shitty boy group song because the fans actually didn't consume the music this time which sort of forces SM to rethink. Life's Too Short is the literal definition of fast-food generic GARBAGE. It's not a horrible song, but it's so painfully generic that it's arguably worse than a polarizing song that was at least original.

Aespa and most likely soon to be I'VE seem to be what we got.
montacelo Posted September 20, 2022 Posted September 20, 2022 I really hope BP can snatch that #1 i just don’t want Blinks to be annoying anymore either also onces need to chill bc I don’t think their faves can handle anymore bad karma they send to their way
newuser Posted September 20, 2022 Posted September 20, 2022 I still remember a certain blink was yelling about how BP will score number 1 when aespa was coming out with girls. I remember how confident they were.

Yeah companies also feel like they're putting more thought into creating illusions of success than actually chasing success through quality/building up a fandom and GP interest, its really weird and I don't think it's a great idea in the long run tbh I'd think SM is smart enough to switch it up next comeback, they've always been good with making their artists get out of sticky situations in terms of digital underperformance dddd

They're also only letting aespa take top CF brand deals. They're trying so hard to present them as already top idols and its backfiring.

I watched the DICE video earlier and immediately after, I was left confused and not sure what I had just watched or listened to. JYP is doing those girls such a a disservice i won’t be watching or listening to that AGAIN.
