Oh so we're ranking 4th gen debuts

Eleven > So Bad > Dalla Dalla > Fearless > Black Mamba > O.O > Wa Da Da

kJrKTEF.gif

So Bad being placed at less than its rightful #1 spot doesn't sit right with me

Top 81 digital on Gaon. Some groups couldn’t even charted like that before they disbanded.

Speaking of 4th gen GG debuts, since everyone it's doing a ranking:

SO BAD > ELEVEN > BLACK MAMBA > O.O > FEARLESS > WA DA DA > DALLA DALLA

yujinmpg.gif

DALLA DALLA is one of ITCHYs least memorable TTs. WA DA DA is a song that it's so bad it's good. FEARLESS is serviceable. O.O is a cuntier version of NEXT LEVEL and I will not offer any explanation for it. Black Mamba is a solid kpop song. Eleven has just so many catchy vocal parts and while it's a standard kpop song, it doesn't fade into the background and remains memorable. So Bad is like a timeless moment, literally KPOP & POP perfection.

Oh WOW, you hit all the right points

Fearless is simultaneously kind of boring but shocking to me because it's SUCH a course-correction from the typical noise we hear nowadays that I think it actually veers too far in the opposite direction. That being said, it's very pleasant runway music. It's just a little underwhelming sonically for a debut of this magnitude.

I really love the mini, though. It's exactly the kind of music I love from girl groups and it gives me f(x)-by-way-of-RV vibes which I'm very here for. The vocals are definitely...buried, to an extent, but it's way less egregious than the vocal production on HYBE's bg releases and it sounds fine to me. Aesthetically and sonically I think Le Sserafim are probably my favorite 4th gen gg so far just based on this debut.

Fearless is stuck in my head it’s the perfect song runway song :giraffe:

Aren't NCT Dream having a repackage :rip: another million selling album for SM because of the fans

Wish they stuck to the sound of The World Is My Oyster and incorporated more of this sound for the mini. It would've matched the concept perfectly :jonnycat:

Fearless gave low budget imitation Dior CF  :coffee2:

Fearless is so forgettable :( I was really looking forward to see Sakura and Chaewon redebut

The only song on the mini i'd use is the great mermaid

WA DA DA is heavenly :flame:

Imagine if YG bought this song for Rose's solo... 1B streams on Spotify and 1B views on YouTube, #1 on WW. I could see her doing a minimalistic/artistic music video with a hot male actor/dancer. A CONCEPT!

I've seen this gif so many times and it always has so many notes. Knew she was gonna be a stan attractor from her first video. No wonder hybe crawled all the way to netherlands to get her :jonny5:

For me, Le Sserafim are very style heavy, and the substance is lacking. The concept is so well-refined and executed that it kind of overshadows the other aspects.

I agree that they are very much all style no substance but i disagree about the concept being well executed. In fact I think its been terribly done. There's no real progression in the video. The girls are just given random empty sets to pose and dance in, and none of them have anything with the teasers. One moment someone's got boxing gloves in front of a clothing store, and then now they're dancing in a gym, and suddenly someone jumped off a building. NOTHING leads to the other. Like ok, you're fearless, and??? What is it you're fighting against???? What is it you stand for???? Serving ITZY's f**k the haters when there were pretty much none at debut. Giving insidious corporation slapping cheap feminist messaging onto a hollow product to gain fans because everyone loves empowerment. And its even more egregious here when compared with ITZY because LSFM's concept and MV direction is filled to the brim with the male gaze. It leaves a bad taste in my mouth. 5 of the girls were serving, but the MV was easily the worst part about this debut. :giraffe:

Fearless is the worst song on the EP and, it sounds a little too close IVE.  However, the EP overall is good and Blue Flame and Sour Grapes are 5/5 songs.

I've been looking at each of their dancing and I think Kazuha is pretty much their best dancer. She makes all the moves look so light and effortless. Maybe it's time we accept that Mina and Winwin just don't have that good an innate sense for dancing to begin with :eli:

The way the crowd CHEERED when she did her split... International IT girl in the making :jonnycat:

Don't get how Chaeyoung isn't more praised for her looks. She's absolutely gorgeous. I guess when you're in a group with eight other gorgeous women, it's hard to be appreciated.

i agree with most of this. The teasers were also giving ~fashion~ chanteuses but the video is literally them in active wear in a gym 90% of the time or badly green screened. They should of stuck to a story line with the gym (maybe like a good girl bad girl moment) or stuck to making it more fashion like Dalla Dalla. The video is just very bland imo.

Personally I wouldve loved a noir supermodel/spy double life concept simillar to taeyeon's something new, it wouldve been such a slay :jonnycat:

Maybe HYBE/Source did something. But LESSERAFIM's Sing stays in my head and I listened to it only once.
