This is a bit tragic.  :biblio:  Saemangeum K-pop festival was supposed to take place yesterday (08/26) but it got pushed back a day and Brave Girls were also booked for a concert in Haenam today (300 km from Seoul) so they ended up having to do both in one night. The two locations are 190 km apart so they had to drive hastily after the first schedule to arrive on time for Saemangeum.

Legends served as always but wow, this could have been a disaster. Brave Ent continues being a joke.

Using 4th gen groups who are trendy rn to drag 3rd gen groups is so dumb, they're divided into these generations for a reason

The only reason generations talk exists is for the dragging.

Also Twice's Spotify are kinda underwhelming considering they did a really successful global tour, several cycles of global promotions:deadvision: The numbers are okay but I expected more tbh!

It's what they deserve after kicking out Natty.

Next Level is still my fave 4th gen song along with Love Dive :WAP: It's funny cause it took me weeks to fully like it.

Next Level > Savage >> Black Mamba > Girls >>>> Dreams Come True

Omg this video is so informative about the industry, and how truly disturbing it is.
All these old ass men  texting the brown eyed member to show their interests for the Produced 10 girls.

YG’s wife was 15 when he fell in love with her. The fact that a grown ass men had the ball to say that kind of stuff on national TV, imagine all the stuff hes done behind close door. I’m sure it’s alot worse than grooming a 15 year old!

I legit forgot Shindong actually told girls theyre fat and to lose weight :rip: yikes

Aespa’s best song to date is their rendition of DCT

Talk That Talk did more than 2x Scienshit's numbers and only BP is able to debut with better numbers when it comes to k-pop girlgroups. :duck:

Just parroting career advice he'd hear Min Hee Jin tell the girls and Taemin.

The only acts getting anywhere near 100M views organically in 2022 is BP/BTS. Youtube is a dying format for music. Y'all need to realize all of your faves use ads at this point. When groups don't its obvious.

E.g. SNSD hasn't. They have 1.7M likes on youtube but only 32M views

Meanwhile:

Aespa - 1.7M likes/94M views

Itzy - 2M likes/100M views

IVE - 2.1M likes/144M views (Love Dive)

Maniac by Stray Kids - 3,6M likes/122M views

A 10th year title track Holiday went top 10 on Melon, and peaked at #12 on Gaon Digital. And that is their biggest title track flop.
This was followed up with a 15th year anniversary single which debuted with 33k ULs and #23 on Melon

Whilst Theflops in their 6th year only managed to peak #32 Gaon Digital with Scientist. Then their 7th year single debuted with 16k ULs at #78 on Melon

Yet SNSD got lucky, pfft. SNSD was never the flop digitally as some of you like to imagine.

It's  your fave that needs all the luck.

SNSD got lucky :gaycat5:

aespa and IVE are serving WG and SNSD.

WG/aespa got hits first and dominated for a bit before losing hype from failed US promotions.

Meanwhile SNSD/IVE focused solely on Korea with frequent comebacks/taking every CF possible/variety show/music shows/etc.

Sohee (Karina) losing hype and Yoona (Wonyoung) completely taking over the scene.

NewJeans is serving 2NE1 with the ability to create multiple smashes from the same album (all titles but still) and explosive debut

This is the most accurate comparison I've seen anyone make between 4th gen and any other generation. A shame cause aespa could've been SNSD level with their amazing album sales & two possible IT Girls but SM is so hellbent on making them succeed in the West and it's so frustrating to watch as a fan

It's not okay to drag TWICE flop single but I legit remember people undermining FMR's success just because LD was smashing at the same time and people were talking about how a 4th gen group was "stomping" on a 3rd gen group:rip:

Certain users were literally rabid in their hatred of RV since Queendom and also before, but after FMR they all went silent.

Anyways, FMR is one of the biggest hits this year. Definitely in my top 3 2022 releases too. The quality is just top tier.

IVE just debuted Top 30 :rip:

It’s nice to see so many people warming up to IVE here now that they snagged another hit… otherwise the amount of people undermining their success and avoiding any and every mention of their achievements before this era was funny to watch
