Eskimo is a real tribe, but it had history from british colonizers of being an offensive way to refer to all inuit. Somewhere in language, the word eskimo became just a way to describe a vision people had of the tribes in the arctic (you know, igloos, fur clothes etc) - so I don't think it is known to everyone as having offensive roots. I was taught it in school - but I have no idea if thats taught in korea or other countries lmao. As BTS said above, dont think its cancel worthy, but one of those things that once you learn about it, maybe just dont use the word anymore lol. I doubt she has any idea.
