Yes, it is. Willow is one of her best singles, songs, etc. It just draws you in. She flows so well in those fairy-tale, honey-esque melodies and she also has enough space for her lyrcism to shine. 

Willow deserves to get re-discovered massively.

midnights will easily clear over 53 weeks too. that would make it a whole year. and whether it can outlast fearless and 1989 (59 weeks) is yet to be seen but extremely possible.

i feel like i’m in the minority when i say midnights is her best album overall. it’s an “if you get it, you get it and if you don’t, you don’t” kinda album and i feel really bad for whoever doesn’t get it. it’s a masterpiece.

I feel like people finally understood Midnights after she released You’re Losing Me. Before, the commentary was that she rushed this album just to tour.

i think the reception to midnights by music fans/taylor’s fans has been very lukewarm. i see why they wouldn’t vibe with it cause the album is very lo-fi and chill as opposed to something that will grab you right away. on the other hand, i also think people just want to be different and hate something that’s popular.

 

the gp, on the other hand, latched on to midnights right away and they haven’t let go since  but also it makes a lot of sense because a lot of the gp doesn’t care about being fake “edgy” and pretentious with their music taste.
