Taylor is a big HAC & AC darling. "Karma" just recently became her 28th top 10 on HAC radio, which broke her tie with Maroon 5 for most top 10s ever. And with how adult-skewing they are, they will hopefully keep supporting her for decades to come.

And even pop radio has seemingly embraced her again finally. "Anti-Hero" went #1, "Karma" will hopefully too, "Lavender Haze went top 5 and even "Cruel Summer" seems to be picked up by pop radio on its own. Those are fantastic stats for a female artist in her 30s imo.

Pop radio is fickle tho, so their support can fizzle at any moment. But hopefully even when they stop pushing her this hard, she'll still have enough goodwill to get some notable airplay from pop. That + her HAC/AC support should guarantee decent radio airplay for her singles when she's older, enough that she wouldn't really need country radio (who are barely playing women, let alone older women anyways).

Could she sell the TVs of Fearless & Red with ITWAM and S&S+EO on physicals respectively?

She’s not milking this tour properly. Unless she recoups more from merch than albums.

even FTV hit 100 weeks

just like evermore, everyone doubted it and look at it, 100 weeks and it’s in the top 50 :dies:

It becomes Taylor’s record extending tenth to hit this milestone. Artists with most albums:

1. Taylor - 10

2. Eminem - 7

3. Drake, Beatles, MJ - 6

sacREDTV will also join in october

19Katy9 oh wow. It’ll be sad when 1989TV ends its chart run (unless there are still enough streams of the OG singles to keep it charting?)

I think it could’ve ended up in the all-time top 10 list eventually.

can't wait for SNTV to outstream the stolen version with ease

The way Lover will be her longest charting album ever on BB200 when all is said and done.

Thank God other countries combine the TVs chart run with the original.

I really don’t think Taylor will ever smash on country radio again- at least this decade . Unless she’s featured on like a remix or a feature of someone who is insanely huge already in country. Had she returned to country post 1989 she would’ve had a shot. But with ageism, her bb ring openly liberal, her shots are tarnished.

Ageism is slightly less awful in country than it is in pop. Early 30s is like prime time for country acts. A couple acts per generation keep scoring hits well past 40, too.

But I don’t think she’ll ever go back to country. Even if she does more acoustic-leaning stuff, it’ll still skew in the folk-pop, indie-rock direction that will appeal more to her varied demographics and international audience. Plus she is an AC/HAC smasher, as Feanor said. HAC is going to be for Taylor what the dance and country charts were for Madonna and Reba.

I think she hates her country catalog, anyways. The fact that the tour snubs mixtape and she only does pop songs from Red and Speak Now… The pop-punk features on SNTV… She said yee-nah.

:deadvision: this was too funny

Yea I don't ever see her going back to country especially with how they treated her after going slightly pop on red, she'll for sure lean towards indie folk/rock folk type of sound which im super excited about, she will thrive in that genre, I mean look at evermore and folklore, her best albums

The smashery :dies: Red TV might even chart longer than Red OG, iirc it hasn't ever left the top 70. But 185 weeks is a staggering amount, especially for a pre-streaming album.

it's not even a question.mp3... at this rate og sacRED might even become her album with the least weeks on the chart out of the first 15 released ones (TS1-10+TV2-6) and maybe even, ever, since even the "flop" SN will surpass it in two weeks and will end up with 188 weeks, IF it's last week is the week of TV's release and it never charts again. as for the rest they either surpassed it or on their way to do it...

EXPLANATION: Ticket sales for "The Eras Tour" starts tomorrow in Brazil, and some scalpers (who want to buy tickets before the fans to sell them at triple the price later) are physically threatening the fans and wanting to take their place to buy all tickets!

Quote

They’re literally PHYSICALLY threatening fans camping to buy tickets during the general sale tomorrow. Some say they have a gun, not to mention they actually pushed the some fans so they’d gave up their spot in line so they can buy tickets first.

imagine if she collabs with Kacey Musgraves for debut TV

It makes me so sad to think she'll never go back to country.

I guess I'll live if she at least gives us some things that are country-adjacent, still. Acoustic guitars, the occasional banjo. My dream is something like The Only Thing by Sufjan Stevens but with her voice and her lyrics. I mean, it's already one of my favorite recordings ever, but still. I like a lot of music like that, and I think she'd sound so amazing with that kind of sound. Perfect for her voice. Not to be weird, but this is actually why I like Soon You'll Get Better, even disregarding its heavy subject matter. That kind of stripped back, somber, contemplative acoustic sound moves me more than anything made of just synthetic sounds ever will - no shade toward her pop work, of course, it's a preference thing rather than objective quality.

I get that it's not really a "pop star" kinda vibe so it might not happen just yet. But someday. My hope is that her lockdown albums - moreso Evermore, but both still - were less a temporary phase and more a glimpse of the future.

My theory is Kacey hates Taylor because her (ex) husband Ruston Kelly is such a stan, Taylor is basically the other woman without even stepping foot in their household :deadbanana4: Ruston even covered All Too Well on YouTube :dies:

No She is just jealous of Taylor's success.

Likely a bit true. But I think its mainly that Kacey is jealous about how successful Taylor is, because Kacey believes that she is the better song writer and deserves similar success.

Kacey is great but her writing is very monotonous. Taylor can write great country song, great pop song easily. Taylor is just more versatile.

Taylor liked Kacey Musgrave's hacking excuse notes app  statement so I guess its  not impossible for Taylor to collab with Kacey but I hope she doesn't

Kacey allegedly dissed her in a song.

Anyway Kacey really thought she was having her 1989/red transition to pop with Star-Crossed but it was mot as well received

Yeah no Kacey and her melodically void songwriting has no place collaborating with Lord after her antics over the years. Her (ex-)husband loving Taylor was merely something that made Kacey's hate for Her even funnier, especially considering the way their marriage ended
