Vespertine Posted June 9, 2023 Posted June 9, 2023 Quote Nah I have a feeling the MC score will end up somewhere in the mid 70s again. Enough amazing material to get some real praise, but How You Get A 61 and its ilk will drag it down like with Red. The way I knew to drag HYGTG before I ever even heard the album. Standing by this sentiment!

I agree, but your classification of a few of those rock songs is a bit dubious. And the thing about genre is that “pop” is still the most all-encompassing genre signifier. Something that mixes a bunch of genres is pop.

"She should write a song called 'maybe I'm the problem!'" and "She's a fake country artist" were two of the GP's top recurring complaints.

Cleanromantic Posted June 9, 2023 Posted June 9, 2023 (edited) HYGTG is bogged down by MMs dated, bubblegum pop production. The song sounds great acoustic Edited June 9, 2023 by Cleanromantic 1
