Also sorry, but enough with the white people, mixtape is guaranteed to have only white artists which makes the first four only white features, she barely has collabs with poc artists overall especially black artists and yes she started in country and doesn’t collaborate often but still the point stands.

The only valid criticism about the Ice Spice feature was that it’s the first time she collaborates with a woman of color, I mean thank God she never associated mrs petty with her catalogue and it better stay that way, but there are countless other options.

This Ice Spice remix isn't that good either. Taylor shines when she does solo work.

I hope she scraps that Dua collab.

Is it completely delusional to think that TS11 could out-debut Midnights by quite a lot…? It seemed like her absolute peak at the time, but it feels like her power has grown a lot since. With the eras tour going global, the constantly viral discography and two breakups going into it, is TS11 set up for a massive debut?

Globally for sure. US, idk.

I mean Taylor is basically at the point where she will sell every single vinyl she is able to press. If the numbers from Midnights stay the exact same for streaming, CD, and digital sales (440k SEA, 400k CDs, 200k digitals), and she doubles the number of vinyl to 1M, then that's a 2M debut right there. I don't think that's anything like a guarantee, but if TS11 comes before the end of Q1 2024, and if Taylor prepares enough physical copies for the first week, I think that number is possible in the US.

As for globally, I think it's guaranteed. Her numbers in LatAm will be monster this time around, and I imagine her continued success and fame in Europe will help her do better there too. Midnights was the biggest international female debut in the UK since Born This Way (I think?), and I think it's totally possible for her to surpass that

August got 10k shazams in 12 hours because of that trailer :rip:

if you're asking yes it's huge. It's what a ww radio smash usually makes. Let'see if there is any impact on streaming (the song is already doing 1M daily btw).

10k streams comfirmed

She should release the orchestral remix of August from that trailer :chick1:

They way she sells Red as Pop is funny. 2/3 of the album are country and not pop :dies:

No we want a 1989 TV song already with an album pre-order link.

That is the correct label. Like 6/30 is actual country and the rest of the “country” songs are acoustic pop.

Right now it would outsold midnights.

But if her plan is speak now Plus 1989 plus reputation all in One year or so and then TS11 After few months then i don't think so. This Is why i want speak now now, ts11 in 2024 fall and then 1989 in 2025 summer.

Or 1989 summer 2024 and TS 11 Summer 2025.

maybe it's an unpopular opinion but i don't want her to release another album until she's done with the rerecordings

I don't want a pop tv (so 1989 or rep) before ts11. Cause they would definitely hurt it.

Without those i'm ok for a new album next year.

Red is retrospectively seen as the classic definitive essential Taylor album, and I love how much acclaim it continues to get. The genre of Red, however, is still frequently debated. Some claim it is a pop album and others call it country, but I disagree with both of those assessments. Red of course features both country and Pop songs, but I think the most prevalent genre on the album is soft rock.

If we break down the songs into genres, the 3 major categories would be Soft Rock, Pop, and Country, with songs in each category exploring different aspects of each genre.

The Pop songs:

Most people claim Red is a pop album, but although there are Pop songs on it, they are hardly the main genre.

Bubblegum Pop: We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together, 22

Pop Rock: I Knew You Were Trouble

Pop: Stay Stay Stay, Starlight, Girl At Home

So 6 songs out of 19 are actually Pop songs

Country:

An argument can be made that we can't call Red a country album because there are very few actual country songs on the album.

Country Pop: Red, Come Back... Be here, The Moment I knew

Country: I Almost Do, Begin Again

Soft Rock:

I think this is the genre that Red should actually be categorized as so many of the songs are either subgenres of soft rock or straight-up rock.

Arena Rock: State of Grace

Soft Rock: Treacherous, All Too Well, The Last Time, Holy Ground, Sad Beautiful Tragic, The Lucky One, Everything Has Changed

Break Down:

Soft Rock: 8 songs

Pop: 6 songs

Country: 5 songs
