Cruel Summer is on multiple playlists so I don't know why people are acting like it's getting completely ignored. Radio isn't everything

But it's one of the biggest components of actual chart points, it drives more streams and sales, and being sent to radio is what most publications define as qualifying a track as an actual single. Slapping it on a few Spotify playlists isn't exactly an actual push.

Exactly, like radio isn't everything, sure. But it kind of is 1/3 of the components that factor into the Billboard Hot 100 ddd.

And who cares if Cruel Summer is an actual single or not? And yes, playlisting a song is the most important form of push in the streaming era. A lot more important than a music video or any live performance. Radio exposure would bag the song a few more listeners and would improve its hot 100 performance but it's not gonna make it suddenly jump to #1 on spotify

Radio plays multiple songs by the same artist all the time so that's not an issue. I just don't see the need to push the song when we're in between the Midnights and Speak Now TV eras. The song will reach 1B this year regardless so there's no "potential being thrown to waste" like people have been saying for weeks now. A few radio plays or a better hot 100 chart run isn't what will define the song's success

I mean, IDK, I care. Not enough for it to be serious, but I think most of us who want it just think it would be cool to give it some time to really shine, it would be cool to hear it on radio while you're out, and it would be cool to see it hit #1 or eventually reach 2 billion streams instead of 1 billion, that kind of thing. I think it's going to make itself a permanent fixture in her discography either way, kind of like Billie's track Lovely being her biggest streaming hit despite a #64 H100 peak and no radio add date that I can find. But I just think it would be neat for it to get the full treatment - a single cover, some sort of gimmick on her website like a remix EP or CD single, radio adds, a video if we're lucky and it survives through the Speak Now TV promo period. A up to a hundred million impressions per week, at radio's #1 spot, would be some serious exposure and help streams in tandem with playlisting, I would think. "Cruel Summer Hits #1 on the Hot 100" would just kind of be a cool thing to see.

It looks legit enough though (especially the sticker)... and I think the mods removed the post so there's that

Anyway I really don't want leaks for this, even if it's a total flop

How fitting would it be for Mine TV to be her first major leak since the og mine :deadbanana4:

I personally don’t see her making any SN TV song a pop radio single (Enchanted is literally 6 min long and there’s no way to cut it short). Karma will peak in like 6 weeks hopefully at #1 and Cruel Summer—despite it having a shot at ending the year with 1.1b streams regardless of being a single or not—would be a great single to follow up and I think it has potential to be a pop radio #1 hit

Sticker had a typo (LP's when it should be LPs) and it said the color was Orchid Marbled which doesn't exist.

I've always casually liked Taylor since it was popular to ridicule her for having so many boyfriends (I was never part of the bandwagon). I have the utmost respect for her as a person and artist. The only albums I've listened to in full were Reputation and Midnights. I know a handful of songs here and there as well. I never thought ill about her. 15 is the song closest to me because it reminds me of my first day in High School and during lunch I had nowhere to sit. Saw this girl sitting alone (she also looked like Taylor) and since then we've been friends. My interest in Taylor isn't huge, but I like her music, interviews, and videos. There is nothing I cannot understand about these hate bandswagons.

her performance of the lakes was just breathtaking. I think that was my favorite vocal performances of hers and it was for my favorite song of hers too :jonny2:

The cognitive dissonance is strong.

Her message is correct, but girl really thinks YNTCD threw the first brick.

Girls we need to remind ourselves that at the end of the day miss Tay is a cishet white woman, she'll always give well meaning but out of touch cognitive dissonance moments in points of her career

Did she just confirm IDWLF TV on putaTV or is she simply doing the soundtracks too…?

if it’s the later then those witnessing the single time she’s ever going to acknowledge beautiful ghosts, sweeter than fiction or crazier, are so lucky!!

HD being almost T20 with 0 promo unlike KKKarma & Snooze On The Belch :jonny5:

The Rep Tour was super local tbh. Only non-anglo country was Tokyo. She said lots of international dates so hopefully she won't play Asia dust. She could make an absolute fortune in China alone.
