I don't know, I'm optimistic 1989 TV will be better than the Red TV pop tracks because Wildest Dreams already sounds great. I also think she's probably very aware of how disliked 22, WANEGBT, and IKYWT are and will course correct unless she really doesn't give a f :michael:

This whole time I had assumed Shellback didn't work on Red TV but looking through the credits I'm surprised he did. I don't personally think those tracks sound as bad as some make them out to be but there is a noticeable discrepancy. Still, for whatever reason, 1989 is the one I'm worried about the least.

The way I've been dreaming to have this performance with a studio recording.

I'm still waiting for someone to leak the performances of HYGTG, SIO, and Clean that never (or only briefly) ended up online

This would be SUCH a serve :gaylorcat1:

With a few exceptions (I Know Jesus and PWOHC, for instance), I don't think I'd have too much use for the originals after that :jonny5:

Immaculate taste, as per usual. :clap3:

(Though I think I even prefer the acoustic version of PWOHC from the Reputation tour than the original)

The most underrated 1989 sing :giraffe:

The way she sings "You always knew how to push my buttons"

and the pop perfection layering of the I-I-I-Wish-I-Wish-I + the background screaming adlib vocals.

I think I'd use them at a relatively equal rate. PWOHC acoustic really was a force to be reckoned with, but Oscar Holter really put crack into the original production and I don't think I could give the original up like I could the other 10/10s on Reputation (Deallahcate, Look What God Made Me Do, Popemobile, and Gowns etc).

I have zero use for a TVified PWOHC, though, I'm terrified to learn how that could be butchered.

Listening to this sing now knowing it's about Matty makes it so much better   And that Midnight Rain and Bejeweled were about Joe makes much more sense. It's cute how everything She is publicly revealing now puts this ablum into much clearer focus.

Maroon, Question, Labyrinth, Paris, Glitch and Hits Different will always be about Karlie though <3 This is why they are all perfect sings

I'm not surprised Hack produced LWYMMD  Kahn really saved that song, cuz the only time i've played it since 2017 was to watch the 2nd coming of Bad Romance MV again. The goosebumps i got during the Taylor mountain scene during the 240p VMA livestream

The most iconic and notorious song (and video) between WAP and Wrecking Ball :jonny5:

EVERYBODY had an opinion even if most were negative. LWYMMD was the absolute zenith of Taylor's fame and impact on society, even if it fizzled hard and fast. I literally didn't know a single person in my life who didn't immediately volunteer their opinion on it right after it was released.

RepTV's vault tracks are gonna EAT with hits like scrapped 2nd single About To Explode and Rip Off The Page :jonny5:

Fair enough, I personally don’t like the acoustic set dress very much either though so I seem to just hate the western saloon aesthetic (ironic since I’m Texan lol :rip: )

Btw did you see the Harper’s Bazaar article with sketches of the eras tour outfits from the designers?

Yes, and I wish she kept the boots for the Fearless and 1989 outfits. I understand the choice to switch them up, The fearless boots are too sexy and elevated for that era, and the combat boots for 1989 are straight out of the reputation era, but they definitely look better than her choice of footwear, especially the ankle boots from 1989. I just hate ankle boots for some reason, they just look too chunky with the overall sleek and feminine fit, I wish she wore sock boots instead.

Spoiler

The new enchanted dress is definitely the best one, would rank in my top 5 of my rank.

Ok I'm not always a big fan of these types of mashups, but Midnight Rain over Back To December's instrumental makes me feel things :jonny5:

Oh wow... it's in moments like this where I miss Taylor's guitar covers slot from the SNWT

On another note, I just know that Back To December TV is going to destroy my soul. It's still one of her best bridges to date, and even though it's beloved, it's still one of her most underrated ones. :jonny:

Quote

“That actually ended up being a song called ‘I Wish You Would’ which is going to be on her album,” he says. “We first worked on that song together and realized we kind of have a good thing, and the next thing we did was ‘Sweeter Than Fiction’ which was on the [‘One Chance’] soundtrack, and after that we did ‘Out Of The Woods’ and another song called ‘You Were In Love.’ So ‘Out Of The Woods’ was the third thing we worked on together, and probably the easiest. I sent her the track for it, and she sent back a voice note with the verse and chorus in what felt like five seconds. And it was just perfect. It’s eery how similar it is to what the final product is.”

Now, you're runnin' down the hallway
And you know what they all say
"You don't know what you got until it's gone"

Stop, you're losin' me
Stop, you're losin' me
Stop, you're losin' me
I can't find a pulse
My heart won't start anymore for you
'Cause you're losin' me
'Cause you're losin' me
Stop (Stop) 'cause you're losin' me

My heart won't start anymore
(Stop 'cause you're losin' me)
My heart won't start anymore
(Stop 'cause you're losin' me)

Literally nothing happens for so much of this sing. Like, this whole section is meaningless filler. It's so bad. A blight on Midnights.

HYGTG is still on YouTube? On the other hand, it's rumoured that she did AYHTDWS acoustic but that recording never surfaced
