Honestly, I will listen to the TVs for all 1989 and Reputation tracks only once and then never again. I just know there are going to be many tragedies :gaycat7:

We only want the vault tracks.

This is so true, and also the reason I think everyone is being delusional when they think 1989 TV will be bigger than Red TV.

True, Wildest Hymns TV did end up working quite well. I'm still scared shitless for the production intricacies of Shake It Off, and I don't even want to think about how Bad Blood is going to be butchered

Y'all need to have some FAITH, This Love TV was a moment and the rest of the album will be as well :celestial6:

I'd rather have her prove me wrong and switch like a baguette than hold too much hope that the pop albums are going to be well replicated overall.

I wonder how soon Joe will be spotted at a gay club now that he’s free

I'm sure Joe has moved on from hate-******* Taylor out of  jealousy and spite to hate-******* Paul Mescal out of jealousy and spite :gaycat4:

I actually didn't care about This Love that much before but the TV really elevated the song for me. I'd say its currently in my Top 5 from 1989 and I never thought that would happen :dies:

WDTV is also nice and I barely hear any difference when it comes on unless I'm paying attention.

That said, I don't have high hopes for the rest. I simply can't see her recreating the magic of Style, Blank Space, and Out of the Woods (even with Jack on board) again for example. And thats fine, I'm glad shes reclaiming her art but I'm only interested in the vault tracks for the 2 pop albums.

It's going to be like Red. The softer, simpler, less percussive tracks will be re-produced decently well, but the poppier, more upbeat and detailed songs will be challenging. I'm not really worried about Blank Space, since its instrumental is quite simple once you break it into the base parts. Style, though... I might be too scared to listen.

I don't see the appeal in Paul Mescal as others do, but still...I would like to see it. :gaycat4:

When Matty stars in RepTV's lead single MV, New Years Day :pig: You'd think it'd be DBM, but her downfall will bring bad single choices again so

Lord knows why she refuses to work with Max again. I thought it was due to her desperation for Producer credit, but Jeff Bhasker came back & took the full producer credit. Is it money? Is she really that cheap? :pig: This Love TV is better, but that's not Max. Wildest Dreams TV on the other hand, is a mockery of the OG

@joealwyn sex tape when? :gaycat4:

Also the other challenge that 1989 and Reputation TV will be facing is that there are not that much room for vocal improvement, so it's entirely up to the production.

I'm not sure but for album units, it's definitely maga and according to hdd his (only) three albums have just hit 4M this year (2.7m+940k+351k)

but the crazy thing is that she hit 2M album units the day before tour kicked-off which means she did 3M in 2.5 months without releasing a "new" album during this time :deadbanana4: I can see her ending the year with 12-13M (without counting the possibility of another album in the fall) after doing ~8.5M last year

Last year she reached 5M units only after Midnights' first week sales, on October 28th. By this time last year she was moving a bit more than 2M units. :jonny:

I think some fans need to remember that sometimes you just can't recreate music. Even if she got Max Martin on board for 1989 TV/Rep TV, I'm pretty sure the result would still be sooo different. Holy Ground TV is an example of a song that had the same producer and mixer AND it still didn't live up to the original (to me at least).

The originals are always gonna be there so I wish they would stop with this "stop streaming the OGs!!!! :cries:" cult mentality fffff

I'd be streaming that faster than TS11 tbh :gaycat1:

Maybe the answer to all this is her giving us a surprise bonus disc of guitar-only acoustic versions of all of 1989 and Reputa, since that would sound better than even the originals :gaycat3:

Idk what it is about WD TV, but her voice sounds so robotic & overprocessed to me. It's like they put her through some filter.

I'd wait for the entire duration of the video (and then probably a few minutes after) before proceeding to TS11 if they were released at the same time :gaycat1:

So basically just taking the Grammy Museum performances and doing them for the entireties of both albums (cause sis, you can't forget that more than a few of those tracks were written on the piano and would work better there).

Yeah i definitely feel u there. HG was disappointing, & i love Jeff :rip: I'm so used to the OG HG, that HG TV's beat feels like it doesn't synch with the vocals correctly :rip: Sometimes I lowkey hope she doesn't work with Max so i cannot get clocked :toofunny3:

This would be SUCH a serve :gaylorcat1:

With a few exceptions (I Know Jesus and PWOHC, for instance), I don't think I'd have too much use for the originals after that :jonny5:

The way I've been dreaming to have a studio recording of this performance.

i would literally die (and I need acoustic versions with acoustic specific recorded vocals; not some cheap reg song vocals slapped on a guitar or a piano).
