style17 Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 idk why but Cruel Summer and Karma is reminding me of Dark Horse and Unconditionally
LiamVillain Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 US Apple Music: 35 (+13) Taylor Swift - Cruel Summer top 30 in a few days
PoisonedIvy Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 (edited) This is random but for other fans who are familiar with -all- of her tours… Why do I hate the piano for this tour so much? (Appearance wise) It’s so.. boring. It doesn’t hold a candle to all the others (I mean they’ve all been grand pianos up until now. so they’re automatically more stunning, but even brushing that aside) The reputation, Red, and Speak Now pianos were so beautiful. 1989’s was interesting, I didn’t love it but I definitely don’t dislike it like I do for Eras Tour EDIT; the acoustic set piano, not evermore’s. That’s flawless! Edited May 30, 2023 by WeFoundTrouble

hindsight Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 so pretty but also so nostalgic sounding that it gets depressing

That’s flawless! I don’t remember all of them, but yeah it feels basic compared to everything else in the show, the only thing that I can think of is that it’s meant to be an homage to debut… on another note, the Lover AMAs artist of the decade piano updated with the 4 owned albums would’ve been perfect for the tour considering that she’s performing songs from all of the albums on it… crazy to think that they customized that piano for a singular performance of one song.

The first day was pretty big and huge gap after Last Night and that Durk song. Last week it had 8M. The original also up quite a bit... Maybe
Lemon Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 I realize that Midnights is the era when we got videos for all songs I consider highlights on the album. Karma is the best one so far. Well, I guess we won’t be seeing anything for Midnight Rain or The Great War though.
Arrows Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 Can we not have another night-related album title? No dreams, moons or nightmares please.
Arrows Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 Hits Different has Jack’s creative mind and pop sensibilities combined with Aaron’s richness and depth in sound, which makes it one of her most succesfully produced songs in a while!

That’s flawless! It is supposed to evoke a piano at a rustic, quaint Western saloon in a small town, which is paying tribute to her humble country origins. This is further invoked by her outfit, which resembles that of a saloon waitress/ Can Can dancer. Spoiler Edited May 30, 2023 by Cleanromantic

ahauntingnearu Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 I don't want TS11 yet tbh get through SN and 1989 (hopefully later this year?) and then maybe next year. Idk. She doesn't need to release so much music so quick; she can slow down imo
TaylenaStan Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 Blank Space #51 on global spotify Will she panic release BS (TV) so she can farm those streams?
Cleanromantic Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 I've listened to Hits Different probably 3 thousand times already . I love how she made it sound like a drunk person having a meltdown lyrically and melodically, which is further emphasized by the incessant guitar hook. I love how she switches up the call and response in the second verse, it keeps it fresh and gives her more space to add more details. I love how unbridled the lyrics are. I love the "have they come to take me away" part, it's like she hit rock bottom and expecting to be put in a mental institution because of it. This song is all I needed from her, it sounds very feminine and evokes those classic 2000s romcom scenes where the protagonist loses all hopes of getting her love interest . She should probably turn it into her first movie.

That’s flawless! It’s just a simple electric piano. But I personally like that. It’s a moment where she peels back the world class production and reveals at her heart a world class musician who does not need anything more than a piano to captivate a stadium.

I guess for total album units it should be Morgan Wallen, for pure albums one of those K-Pop acts and for on-demand streams maybe Drake?
