I think succeeding at replicating Blank Space and Style is… a Herculean task. I worry that it will sour 1989 TV because everyone besides deranged stans will just stream the old ones. They sound so expensive and rich, Christopher Rowe and Shellback alone just can’t capture it without Max.

As much as people like to hate on Lover (the album) it’s probably going to go down as a classic. My sister recently got a wedding proposal and she used paper rings to post the video. I have a feeling she’s not the only one. It’s the new 22.

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't worried. Style's production is just so gripping - it feels so urgent and intense. Her vocals are so ******* processed and it sounds glorious. I know she's been completely averse to any significant vocal modulation since rep but it's a necessity for 1989 tv.

I have no doubt her “original re-recording schedule” that she referenced when Shamrock acquired the masters in November 2020 has changed. Otherwise we would have had the next version or an announcement by now, logistically we’re getting to the point where there will only be one TV this year. It could be a mix of factors: legalities, Andrea’s health, Red outdoing expectations so much that she’s worried about oversaturation, production taking longer than anticipated, etc. I feel like 1989 stalling for some of those reasons could mean focus was shifted to Speak Now which wasn’t supposed to be next.

I truly believe it will be Taylor's second album to 300 weeks, and if 1989 ever falls out due to competition with 1989TV (which isn't super likely given that both Fearless and Red original singles have maintained their original streaming #s from pre-TV and 1989 is charting almost solely cause of how well the singles are doing recurrently), Lover will surpass as her longest charter
