Fast forward, when the song came on, it had a lovely production but the lyrics grabbed my attention immediately afterwords. Hate to give her more streams on Spotify but I can't help it cause I need to scratch that itch of replaying the song over and over again in the future. A "Bam Bam" teas. Now sis I'm really glad you're continuing to enjoy the music but you didn't have to lie like this nnnnn

A moment that is most pleasing to me in my career. The summer leading up to the announcement with her discarding the red aesthetic and debuting the 1989 one with daily pap walks in New York. the colorful crop tops and outfits replacing the 60s/50s red aesthetic. The Shake it off/ album announcement. Out of the woods being released as a promo track. The week of Blank space release, the mv leaked in the morning on a Monday and she was forced to release it that evening. The way she was universally loved and untouchable for like a month after. The collectable Polaroid pictures. There was something happening everyday, she was ubiquitous. The wildest dreams MV. The jealousy it inspired in so many of her peers . don’t forget the iconic random straight man that signed up to attend the announcement event for the kiis, and ended up writing this blog about smelling the candles in her house and how a swiftie forced him to dance to Shake It Off
TaylorNation Posted April 25, 2022 Posted April 25, 2022 kii I remember this gif being spammed everywhere to drag OTH, it was so effective
Beyonnaise Posted April 25, 2022 Posted April 25, 2022 That livestream where she announced the album and premiered SIO, truly a cultural reset I ran to Tumblr to try and save a URL related to 1989 but they were all taken within seconds

Her team definitely did a lot of fans wrong by letting him in instead of someone who was actually a Stan. He said himself that he was a casual fan at best. Spoiler And her security guards were asking him if he was gay
TayDine1989 Posted April 25, 2022 Posted April 25, 2022 1989 made me a Swiftie too I started listening to her songs early 2014. I was slowly listening to her album tracks and before I knew it, I found myself watching videos of her accepting awards Then SIO happened, then the masterpiece that was Out of the Woods. OMG she was everywhere! I remembered always updating kworb's itunes website to track her sales
Cleanromantic Posted April 25, 2022 Posted April 25, 2022 (edited) Let me tell my Stan story too: So I became a Stan in 2009. I was a ninth grader then and I wasn't really into music at all. Sure, I enjoyed listening to Lady Gaga hits on the radio ( I remember how her songs from 2008/2009 were spammed nonstop on the radio here) and Rihanna hits, but I never really gone out of my way to delve into an artist's discography. But then I got a Samsung Monte slider (edit: now that I've done some research it was actually the Samsung SGH-D900, which were all the rage back then ) and I wanted to listen to music on it. A girl in my class had a lot of songs on her phone so she sent me like 100 songs via Bluetooth, and amongst those songs was Love Story . I was instantly hooked. It was the best song of the ones she sent to me (lots of Rihanna, Enrique Iglasias, Celine Dion...) and it stood out against all of them. The country pop instrumentation was a new thing to me, but the thing I liked most about it was how it told a story as if was watching a movie. I downloaded debut and fearless and I was obsessed with them for the next two years untill Speak Now came out. I remember just listening to Stay Beautiful and Hey Stephen on loop each day on the bus on my way to school . Edited April 25, 2022 by Cleanromantic

TaylorNation Posted April 25, 2022 Posted April 25, 2022 Love Story era stan here! I caught the music video on MTV and was so obsessed with the song, Fearless hadn’t even come out so I had to wait for the album which was so annoying in that period i listened to Debut constantly and Tim McGraw turned me into a stan
wastedpotential Posted April 26, 2022 Posted April 26, 2022 I've been some form of fan since Teardrops was spammed on my local country station growing up but I didn't get really involved in the stan community until right before WANEGBT Just in time to get dragged into the directioner fights When I say I would get in fights with the Harry fans at school

Cruel Summer Posted April 26, 2022 Posted April 26, 2022 I can’t even say how long I’ve been a fan, though I didn’t like bothering with the whole online stan thing until Me!th was getting released. I’ll just say that every one of her album releases for well over a decade now has been a major moment for me. Taylor is one of just two artists who has never - and, I trust, will never - let me down or left my short list. Her lyrics might as well be carved into my bones at this point, with how familiar I am with every note in her discography. In my experience, 1989 was simply awe-inspiring: the way she transformed into a masterful pure pop artist and then commanded the attention of the entire world for a year and a half straight was breathtaking.
PoisonedIvy Posted April 26, 2022 Posted April 26, 2022 Fan since I saw Our Song music video in 2007 on CMT, STAN since State of Grace since was released as a promo single
Taylor fanboy Posted April 26, 2022 Posted April 26, 2022 Teardrops On My Guitar was a hit in Philippines but she was literally faceless. I always pictured the singer as black. And then Love Story HIT ME like a truck when it played on the radio, while I was in the shower. An unforgettable moment for me. The rest is SPARKS FLY history.
1989 Posted April 26, 2022 Posted April 26, 2022 Track 6: mirrorball > Mean > You Belong With Me > Look What You Made Me Do > I Think He Knows > Shake It Off > no body, no crime > 22 > The Outside
1989 Posted April 26, 2022 Posted April 26, 2022 Also, I’ve been a stan since Love Story. Country music wasn’t really a thing for me, so I literally didn’t know about her debut. But I heard Love Story not long after its release and was hooked. Saw the video and was obsessed. I remember going to buy Fearless when it was released, that was the day I knew I was a STAN. Of course, not long after that I also bought Debut, and the rest is history. I’ve been stanning since then, through everything. I’ve literally grown up with her music. I know I missed the first two years, but I’m proud to say I’ve been a stan since 2008.
Achilles. Posted April 26, 2022 Author Posted April 26, 2022 I’ve been a fan since the debut single (the benefit of growing up on country music!) and I remember watching all her videos and award show performances back in the day but I wasn’t very aware of pop culture at the time, so it wasn’t until the Speak Now announcement livestream that I started really actively paying attention to stuff, and I got into the actual fandom and stanning stuff that era as well. —— mirrorball > Shake It Off > Look What You Made Me Do > Mean > no body no crime > 22 > I Think He Knows > The Outside Why her track 6s so weak aside from masterpieceball and the iconic cultural reset lead singles?
P!NK2LOVE Posted April 26, 2022 Posted April 26, 2022 Fan since Love Story, super stan since the super iconic reputation.
Catch22 Posted April 26, 2022 Posted April 26, 2022 I’ve been stanning Taylor since January 2011 when I decided to listen to Speak Now. Loved it immediately.
