I never liked the LBT version :rip:

Her live version + the one on RedTV are much better.

y'all must be deaf cuz it sounds like she's croaking on Better Man. LBT oustang and outdid with ease. Being a fan doesn't mean praising every single thing she does :rip:

And Better Man TV is still much better than the LBT version. Deal with it

I agree with this. LBT did that song justice.:gaycat1:

Tbh I hope Lover ever gets the IWALY treatment. Hopefully a vocalist WITH a better production / arrangement does that song justice.

Taylor’s debut single:

I hope you think my favorite song

The one we danced to all night long

The moon like a spotlight on a lake

Saying she wants her lover to remember her with him at the lake alone at night, surrounded by nature with nothing to distract or disrupt them.

Flash forward to The Lakes: a song about how she wants to be remembered running away to the lakes with her lover, where they can be alone surrounded by nature with nothing to distract or disrupt them.

How ****ing dare she. :weeps:

Virginia Woolfe of her generation me fears. :clap3:

Luckily NONE which made points.

People are counting Drake’s incoherent slideshow on IG.

We’re just thirst of new releases at this point.

Her version of Better Man is superior. She delivered

Can we please fathom the fact that “Cowboy Like Me” is actually a Taylor/Joe song?

The entire song expands upon the concept of “Knew I was robber first time that he saw me, stealing hearts and running off and never saying sorry.”

Well I'm sure some people are expecting a song or an album or an announcement this Thursday/Friday but it's that way every week :gaycat6:

Also I feel like people are counting on DrakeLor coming at some point in the near future

Funny how one of Taylor's best songs can fit so well into the lyrical narrative of one of her worst

a lot of her songs would be a lot better if a more powerful vocalist sang them tbh, just like Better Man proved, same with Babe. I also agree that a power vocalist's take on Lover would be a collapse. I think The Archer, TSOU, Dear John, State of Grace, and IKP would also benefit from a power vocalist

I didn’t compare them, I made note of the fact that lord has previously used similar imagery / metaphors to describe her relationship with Joe.

Forever resentful that this, the original and superior version of Blinding Lights, wasn't the song to make it to 90 weeks on the Hot 100 and didn't become the biggest hit of all time :gaycat6:

Spoiler

Yes I like to hate on reputation and still adore like 11/15 of the tracks, what about it?

A perfect song. This should have taken RFI’s place as single no. 2 to renew the GP’s faith in her writing after the divisive Look. It would have smashed on radio.

the problem with the song is the chorus. It has no melody and it is too repetitive, which is basically the theme throughout all of reputation. It's like she was aiming for something great and fell incredibly short. DWOHT with a different chorus would be a massive collapse
