Taylor Swift

I’ve been a hardcore stan since 2012 and I’d say 2016 was the worst, 2013 the second worst. 2013 was just mostly fighting off a bunch of delusional teenage girls in love with a boyband and raging misogynists. 2016 was all of that and more. It was a cultural divide.

Imagine having this much power :jonny6:

People try to use the number of releases as an excuse but these 10 songs alone are outstreaming some discographies

Oh, I didn't know that. Why isn't there a thread? We need to appreciate GOATgeous as much as possible.

Also, Praying with Our Hands Clasped next.

I don't think it's anything that big that warrants a thread, at least not for Taylor's standards. She had 28 songs doing 300k+ on Friday

Exactly. And like 3 meme tweets have outliked that one hate tweet that went "viral". And honestly there's only that one account that's still talking about it but no one is paying him any minx so. :rip:

2016 and 2017 was really problematic because newspapers like The Guardian were creating the narrative that she was alt-right :gaycat6: without any proof and fully based on assumptions :gaycat6: 2016 and 2017 honestly taught me so much.

I wasn't talking about the online hate, but the GP perception of Taylor as an artist. I don't care if people think she's the worst person in the world, but her reputation as a musician is really important. And after folklore and evermore, nothing will ever take that away.

Now we're ready for her last shot at being a pop star with TS10 :gaycat2:

One thing that some fans will need to accept is that Taylor is a very divisive person. For all the **** she gets for being 'inoffensive', people have very strong feelings about her and that is never going to change.

It helps keep her relevant tbh people always feel like they have to share their opinion on everything she does. it’s really interesting how very few people are indifferent on her

She comes back stronger than a 90s trend.

(whatever that means)
