Taylor's best magazine covers/photo shoots (fan demanded version)

13- Elle Magazine 2013:

This cover was very fitting for the red era aesthetic. The yellow mini dress pays homage to the 60s space-age fashion. The cut-outs were very daring for 2013 Taylor, but she still pulls it off. The makeup is signature 60s -nude lip, bold eyes. Sadly, the rest of the shoot was very weak :coffee2:

12- Rolling Stones 2012/2014/2019:

I love these covers and how they encapsulated the sound of each album while staying true to the era's aesthetic. 60s hipster for red, light and breezy for 1989, and kitschy colourful for lover :ihype:

11- T magazine 2009:

This was her first high fashion editorial shoot. I love how she was down for anything, cause I personally think it was very risqué for her to be styled basically as an inanimate fetishized Lolita sex doll during her teen idol era :gaycat6: .

10- Vogue 2012:

The birth of her iconic bangs (I can't believe she's had bangs for 10 years now). 70s inspired, hopefully she does a 70s era one day cause she looked great in this:

9- Vogue 2015:

The two for the road photoshoot with the inspiration for the second stanza of the first verse of "It's time to go". My mom owned a lot of fashion books from the 80s and the photos in them looked exactly like these. Just two sapphic models wearing high fashion and posing together.

8- Glamour november 2012:

This was more consistent with the Speak Now whimsical storytelling era than the 60s/50s red era. But it's still a great beauty spread.

4- Vogue 2020:

I hate the cover. I don't know whose mouth they photoshopped onto her face, but the rest of the shoot is so glamorous and timeless. This shoot also had some 70s looks mixed in.

I have to vent a bit, I'm sorry, but I have nowhere to do it.

I've been feeling pretty low for the past couple of days. While listening to evermore today (hence why I'm venting here and also because I trust you guys), I'm kind of breaking down and feeling hopeless I won't get any better :dancehall3:

Truth is, I have a nice job and I'm doing great in my career, but I feel like my personal life is at the lowest. To be honest, I've only had one boyfriend (2011) in my whole life and I ****** it up... I can't get over him, no matter what I do. I've tried going out with other people, tried being okay with myself (joining the gym, hanging out with friends a lot, etc.), none of that worked.

Besides all of that, I'm spiraling onto my past because I've had some family issues as well. My dad passed away 5 years ago, but he had an accident in 2012 and never recovered from that.

Since that year, I've tried therapy once or twice but never could connect with the therapist...

I could go on forever tbh, because I'm feeling pretty down today, but thank you guys for reading if you've come this far

If she's worried about the Grammys, she can always release mixtape TV. That ain't competing for anything

Teneo mentioned something about a rumour circulating in 2020/2021. Could it be the Prince William/Kate project…?

That month and a half between RFI and Gorgeous was also much worse than 2016 for me

Posted

She’s gonna drop the week before Beyoncé like she did with Red (TV) and Adele. It’s the perfect tactic, she can be huge for a week, and then disappear as someone else takes the spotlight. She seems hyper-focused on not reaching overexposure

The 2016 situation was entirely different :dies: She already said she was gonna take a break before Snakegate and there was no curveballs like the TVs, so obviously we would assume she's working on a new album and that's it. It was boring but it wasn't frustrating.

It's frustrating now because we know she likely has at least two TVs already ready to drop but there are no signs of it anywhere. And she may also be working on new music this whole time, but we don't know about that either because the TVs are in the way.

thisss! I'm not expecting her to pump out a new album every year, but the tv's are right there to release, we want them out of the way :dies:

also if she's worried about grammy competition, wouldn't she just release 1989 tv? it would be the exact same situation as fearless tv where it doesn't need to be submitted to the grammy's as it's already won album of the year :gaylorcat2:

Don't wanna be too corny, but hang in there :heart2: it's normal to have sad days, they all pass !

You should rather listen to 1989 or Lover tho, or something brighter...

I don't see her releasing TS10 this summer, but if she did, I'd like a good rollout. She should have the same schedule she had from SN to Rep (lead single August ; two promo singles ; album Oct/Nov) and give the lead the time to shine and to be a smash a hit :ducky:

No Sparks Fly TV news? What is the second song they hyped for that show then? It gets released tomorrow

I was wondering: Taylor has always refused to clearly say when a song is about a certain person because it allows her to keep some kind of privacy (even though it's obvious/we end up knowing) but then, why did she make it clear with Dear John?

She did? She outright said that John Mayer was presumptuous to claim the song was written about him. LOL

She sounds like a child on OG ATW. :lmao:

I’m screaming, the TVs are ALL better vocally.

Well, what I mean is that she clearly named him in the song (even though she didn't say it was that John yeah :skull:), whereas she was more subtle with other people

Dear John is a type of letter, obviously it was about him but she didn’t make that obvious, a random person that didn’t know about her dating life it would think is just named for the letter. It was smart and a bit bitchy

After listening to Taylor’s discography the past few days I’ve come to the conclusion that I’m actually a Taylor fan and she’s my 3rd most played pop girl after Rih and Madonna.

Oh wow, it really is impossible to resist Miss Swift’s appeal and quality isn’t it? No more draggings from me (Unless the thread is Rih vs Taylor then maybe :gaycat3: but only then)

Looking forward to the next Taylor version whenever it’s released. Hope it’s Speak Now :clap3:
