This is what i'm expecting from her with TS12, a 14-15 tracks album where every song is a masterpiece

Well I'd propose This Hymn in place of Diannaland (actually maybe before I Know Jesus) but otherwise this eats. All killer, no filler.

This God is the only one I was very close to including since it's a perfect song on its own, but it always felt a bit out of place on the album to me and ruins the streak of pop perfection

How can This Love ruin a streak of pop perfection when Welcome to New York, Bad Blood, and How You Get The Girl come before it? There is no streak I fear.

:clack:

I object to the removal of I Wish You Would as well. Clean not being the closer feels wrong, too.

HYGTG TV did wonders for me, the way it went from one of my least fave on the album to a listenable track :clap3:

While I do think This Love is perfection, it isn't really as pop as the rest of the album.

You're so right about WTNY and HYGTG, hence why I cut them out. You're also kinda right about Bad Blood, but it did give 1989 its 3rd #1, won a Grammy and goes off in a stadium, so I let it pass.

Clean as closer is cute, but let's be honest, a track 5 placement is the most prestigious in Taylor's discography:coffee2:

As for IWYW, you spilled, I fear!

New Romantics would have gone #1 if it was the fourth single with a Kendrick Lamar remix and a star-studded music video.

And Blank Space also would have won the Grammy if it was submitted instead.

Bad Song isn't special. :coffee2:

I Wish You Would is the best song on 1989. It's disgraceful that you removed it.

Let's not! 1989 is still her best pop record. Yeah BB is my least favorite with generic lyrics but instrumental version slaps.

The intro with piano, D-Y-I-N-G verse, the brdige, the lyrics from first line to all the versese, the main theme

Top 3 on 1989 are Clean, This Love, and OOTW, and she already reheated OOTW (many times…:eli:), but she is more than welcome to dig deeper into the experimental/dreamy pop sounds of the other two.

It's not a want but a NEED.

I was trying to do an EP of 8 songs (ala TFM) from every Taylor's album (actually it's really hard when your discography is without fillers)

However...

Cold as You, The Outside, Mary's Song, Our Song, A Place in this World, should've said no.

Speak Now: Sparks Fly, Enchanted, Last Kiss, Better than revenge, The story of Us, back to dicember, dear john, haunted.

Red: All too well, Trouble, 22, State of Grace, Last Time, red, holy ground, sad beautiful tragic

1989: Style, Wildest Dreams, New Romantics, Clean, Blank Space, All you had to do was stay, out of the woods,  i know places

Reputation: Dancing with our hands tied, don't blame me, i did something bad, Gateway car, so it goes, look what you made me, delicate, ready for it?

Lover: Cruel Summer, Cornelia Street, Lover, The Archer, Daylight, i think he knows, death by a thousands cuts, false god.
