She PROVED that point and then some with Folklore and Evermore. If ME! remained as an album track perhaps things would have panned out differently... and thankfully for all parties involved - Cruel Summer eventually got her moment. I'm gonna be honest: ME! is not THAT bad of a song. Is it great? Absolutely not. Is it good? Questionnable. But people are doing way too much with it, the more i see people hating the song to such an absurd degree, the more i think it's not actually that bad. Yeah it was a terrible choice as a first single for sure. But if you take the song as it is, without the "first single" context, it's pretty catchy. She's just able to do way better than that and she's proven it on Lover itself. It's great that we have more common sense than most other stanbases who are just endlessly kissing their faves's asses blindly but sometimes Swifties can go way too far in their criticism, especially when they start hating entire albums without much irony Edited January 3 by Enrique523

If only she kept the iconic line "Hey kids, spelling is fun!"
Europe Posted January 3 Posted January 3 I love ME! It's a solid 7.5/10, a perfectly fine cheery positive pop song. She just wanted to have another Shake It Off moment and you can't blame her for that. 4

CIWYW, Getaway Car, Dancing with Hands Tied, Ready for It, LWYMMD, KOMH i work in mgmt and there is a straight guy on my team, and he wanted a LWYMMD shirt for secret santa Xmas gift The impacts of this album need to be studied 1
IBeMe Posted January 4 Posted January 4 If Reputation TV is indeed coming in 5+ months then I REALLY need a third single and video for TTPD Before I wanted it to be Guilty As Sin? or So High School because those had most potential to be hits but tbh now that the era is practically done and its been a while I'd love for her to make The Prophecy the "single". Like no need to send it to radio or anything, just playlist it a little and give it a nice, demure and dark witchy music video akin to Madonna's Frozen / The Power of Goodbye kinda vibes

One sounds like what a headache feels like and the other is a dark and hot bop about vanquishing your enemies Spoiler You're just mad I clocked your Innocent tea the other day and wanted some nachos 1
