Went to post in the album thread how TTPD is arguably Taylor's best album and it has been closed...why? :khalyan2:

Because album threads get closed after 6 months for some reason :rip:

I profoundly hate that a third of the documentary is about her political views. Who ******* cares…?

They don't even talk for one second about folklore/the pandemic and how it has shifted her career despite trying to explain why she's so successful.

Really not a good one but oh well, at least I didn't spot any mistakes/lies/whatever. They are even platforming MAGAs. :rip:

Yeah, the minute i saw Fox News i didn't want to see the rest of it :rip:

I don't understand why people make such a big deal about her political views, i'm so sick and tired of it. She's an artist, NOT a politician, she shouldn't have that responsability on her shoulders. And as you said if you want to explain why she's now so successful you HAVE to talk about folklore, it's such a key piece of the puzzle. Completely ignoring it makes zero sense :rip:

I really like ARTE most of the time but they messed up on this one. It reminded me of how much i hate when people who are not Swifties try to explain why she's so successful in 2024, they have literally zero context of her entire career and can only give a very surface level analysis of her success, while being so convinced that they possess the whole truth about her and her fans

I stopped after they started talking about that man interrupting her vma speech. I'm so over every documentary about her acting like that was such a catalyst in her career when her connection to him nearly ended it.

I understand why it's important to briefly mention it but they shouldn't put such a spotlight on that event, Kanye never "made her famous" in any way, if anything he was a huge danger to her.

People saying that sh*t also conveniently forget that the album following that moment was Speak Now, which was her first "underperforming" album, it was less successful than Fearless. If he supposedly "made her famous" you'd think it would've been MORE successful than Fearless right? But it wasn't. And she only became this massive WW sensation YEARS after the 2009 incident.

Sorry for the little rant lol but i'm just sick and tired of people repeating the "he made her famous" BS when any serious analysis of her career's trajectory before and after that incident clearly shows otherwise.

i don't get the debutation theory, cause why would she drop 2 albums at once and lose a #1 streak

Yeah, that theory never made any sense. Taylor would never want to break her #1 streak, especially since Debut is her only album that never reached the #1 spot, it peaked at #5. Debut is definitively gonna be her last TV to come out and it's gonna be a full circle moment, especially with it inevitably debuting at #1.

it's so funny that none of her update accs have more than 550k followers but tswifterastour is almost at 800k :rip:

all of this... announcing the release dates at the same time makes sense tho (maybe the last eras tour date?)

Yeah, maybe she'll announce both at the same time, we'll see. I agree that the last date of the tour would be the perfect moment to announce it, just to make that last date a big event.

yeah, she's never releasing them at the same time but maybe announcing them at the end of the Eras Tour for next year?

She has played two debutation mash-ups. One in Miami and one in New Orleans. She must know about the theory and she's ******* with us :eli:

i could see reputation being given 1989/speak now treatment with almost no promo, but debut is giving red tv with press tour and all of that, so i don't see it being released together

Remember when the little putas were convinced it would come out in October?

She needs to threaten not to release it if Trump wins. That will get 'em to the polls.
