I refuse to believe this is a cover. The original sounds literally NOTHING like this version.

Honestly, I've always been really curious about how Taylor even FOUND the song. It charted nowhere, sold nothing, and was made by a near nobody band. The ONLY connection I can find is that the album it's on (but not even the song) was co-produced by Rick Rubin, who I would assume Taylor has probably met at one industry event or another over the years.

Never listened to the original, why is she credited as a songwriter? Did she change lyrics/the melody?

She covered it because Scott Borchetta is a fan of the band that sings it.

Of course he is :deadbanana2:

Yeah, pretty substantially. She made the song like a minute and a half longer :gaycat6:

I don't know if anyone has the similar taste with me but my holy trinity of her happens to be her 3 AOTYs (folklore, 1989 and Fearless). I've become a fan of her since YBWM and so many of my childhood memories are associated with the Fearless era so I'm a bit biased. But still I feel like Fearless is criminally underrated among the fanbase. Not anyone of the age of 18-19 can create such a masterpiece like herrr.

Ergh another reason to delete the stolen version

They say she was seen on occasion, pacing the rocks staring out at the midnight sea :ihype:

She completely flipped the narrative with this single line. Before the bridge, Rebecca comes off as a fearless, individualistic woman untroubled by her infamy. But this line denotes that eventually, as she grew older, she became a recluse because of the ostracization, rejection, and derision of her community. A story teller :clap3:

Ugh if this is true I hope that her career COLLAPSES. ENOUGH! We need her to create an instant soundtrack album and not these PANNED cameos. You talent is songwriting and not acting.

I stopped believing their bs for awhile, BUT... if Taylor's Disney is actually coming, then I truly feel bad for everyone else, the 20's Ls are becoming worse that the 10's...

She changed the arrangement, altered lyrics, and added harmonies. There was an interview from the band that they had to give her a credit because she changed the song into something new.

Sis @Cleanromantic where’s the tea on them being Scott’s favorite band?

Taylor is known to support, and listen to indie acts. She used to post songs she likes, and they would rise on iTunes, since Fearless era.

I wonder if Shamrock will ever release the original Vault songs that Taylor has re-recorded? Are we sure those songs were not newly recorded

and she is passing them off as vault songs? It seems strange that Shamrock hasn’t release their version of the vault songs.

Also, does anyone really believe that the 10 minute version of All Too Well is what she originally recorded?

Honestly, they probably don’t have them. Message In A Bottle for example was never even recorded back during the original red as BMR would only let her record 3 max songs.

Well all the Fearless vault tracks besides two had already leaked yesrs ago. And some fan site has the piano demo for Don't You.

And for Red vault tracks we literally had info or cowriters talking about writing with her so they all check out too. The only one we had like nothing on was The Very First Night and her working with Espen Lind and Amond Bjørklund. :celestial5:

However, Espen Lind and Amund Bjørklund are said to have met Swift earlier. In 2013, Lind told Dagbladet that they had been to Nashville and written three or four songs with her.

Hm. So there's actually like 3 Espionage songs shelved. Wonder if they'll make 1989TV since Very First Night kinda sounds like the direction she was heading anyway:celestial5:

Who's Taylor Swift anyway? ewwww
