I knew it was too good to be true. Her ass is going to be on vocal rest outside rehearsals because she has four Tokyo shows in a row that week :deadbanana4:

Tokyo is getting the best stage exit as a helicopter is dropping down to the stage to pick her up so she can go straight to the airport to fly to Vegas.

Even with all the imagining I did, it’s been obvious that the likely scenario is that she isn’t performing.

We just want SOTY. :jonny2:

Bummer she won’t be in attendance at the Super Bowl, out of all the games she’s been to she has to miss the most important one :deadbanana:

Midnight Rain is the top 3 on standard edition. It has been like since the release.
Most importantly, the song carries condensed album’s theme and atmosphere and perfectly manages to stand out as Midnights songs among bunch of different tracks from different albums. Album’s sonic’s soundscape is brought to a T in it. :heart2:

This is one of the best Analysis of Midnights I've ever read and it's from TV Tropes. It's about all the introspection and growth she showcases on the Album:

Deconstructor Fleet: Swift deconstructs the public persona and imagery she used several times in her past music.

Her 1989 and Lover persona is about her finding friendship and romance. This album brutally reveals that many of the relationships she made during that time are fair-weather friends and uncaring people who still left her isolated and alone. ("You're On Your Own, Kid", "Dear Reader", "Bejeweled", "Question...?", "Sweet Nothing")

Furthermore, one of the themes in 1989 is finding her self-confidence and image. This album reveals the downside of finding said self-confidence: Her lack of self-reflection and lingering insecurity that made her exhausting to be around. ("Anti-Hero", "The Great War", "Bejeweled")

"Afterglow" from Lover references a nonspecific argument between Taylor and her boyfriend that is her fault; she doesn't understand why. "The Great War" acts as unofficial sequel to the song and gives us the reason: her paranoia and defense mechanisms due to traumas from past romantic relationships.

"Maroon" deconstructs the red imagery she frequently used during Red by showing that the red love she sang about (most likely from the same person) has darkened into a maroon color - signaling the darker reality that she now reflected upon as well as the end of the relationship due to lack of communication but still leaving her with unresolved issues.

"Would've, Could've, Should've" shows the relationship she sang about from Speak Now (especially "Dear John"), when she was nineteen, was extremely predatory and left her with permanent anger, regret, and shame. The song also deconstructs her religious Girl Next Door image from her first two albums, showing her fractured relationship with God due to the predatory man and her naïveté that led to her current trauma.

"Midnight Rain" deconstructs the Romantic Rain and sun imagery she used in her past albums: instead of using it to set the mood or show how in love she is, it is used in this song to show how incompatible she and her ex were because "He was sunshine and I was midnight (rain)" and list all the reasons why. The song chorus is also sung by a distorted deeper voice, implying that he agrees with her too. The song is about her pre-fame love life - a topic she hasn't touched on since Fearless. This song explains that her pursuit of fame and "that pain" led to her breakup with a perfectly nice hometown boy who just wants to marry her and led an ordinary life. This breakup ultimately led him to move on and forget about her but caused her insomnia about what could have been.

"You're Losing Me" contains several callbacks to songs on reputation, Lover, and folklore (most notably "Cornelia Street", "I Think He Knows", "Paper Rings", "exile" and "peace"), mostly pertaining to the subject of marriage, of miscommunication between the two parties and of painful reminders of happier times in a relationship that is falling apart.

Her hometown was used in her first four albums as a source of romance and a symbol of safety and comfort. Here it is revealed to be filled with Hypocrites, judgmental pretenders, and Small Town Boredom, and becomes a direct or indirect source of conflicts in several songs in the album ("You're On Your Own, Kid", "Midnight Rain", "Mastermind", "Would've, Could've, Should’ve").

In a more positive example of Deconstruction, reputation has Taylor obsessed with bringing bad Karma to her enemies. "Karma" instead has her focus on good Karma in her life instead.

ET always has true rumours about her, clearly they are in contact with tree paine.

HDD is a good site about Sales predictions but for the rest It's just clickbait. Every article about predictions is always about big stars winning, they Always make a late article about big stars performing (i Remember last year an article about Adele, Beyoncé and Taylor performances and then no one of them did It)

Yeah there’s also no reason for her to perform at the Grammys at this point, she’s just too big of a star to cater to such a “regular” awards show.

Or maybe there will be a “surprise” performance, but I doubt it

I don't think she'll do any televised performances until the Eras Tour is over, if then.

She'll go and collect awards if she wants, but she's definitely going to contain any actual performance to the tour.

Told y'all, we aren't seeing any performances on TV until 2025 at the earliest.

Imagine if she wins AOTY the same week Travis wins the Super Bowl:jonny5:

For the broadcast, she banned them.

Stadium can play what they like.

Grammys next Sunday, then the first Eras shows of 2024, followed by the Super Bowl and then probably the 'reputation (TV)' announcement… February is about to eat. :jonny2:

I know the owners of her old catalog won't spend a cent to get new riaa certifications.

But what about Republic records? The way cruel Summer is not even Gold yet when probably was already 2 Platinums before the eras tour made It a smash.

Every folkmore songs basically It's at least Platinum. The way only that Is 30x not certified Platinums.

They had a lot of events to make a certifications party from midnights launch to eras tour launch.

Honestly as much as a Swiftie and Taylor fan that I am, I am not looking forward to her being such a focus for attention during the Super Bowl. I get she’s the biggest celebrity in the entire country but she really shouldn’t get much coverage outside of the broadcast mentioning she is there (alongside the other celebrities attending) and a maximum of 2-3 other shots during the game.

Bbutttttt this being THE Super Bowl—along with the additional revenue Taylor has ranked in for the league—there is no doubt she will be a primary pivot throughout the evening. And if the Chiefs do end up winning the game, and therefore the championship, I can 100% see Taylor being on the field afterwards and getting a chance to hold the Vince Lombardi trophy.

I may be amongst the 5% gays who actually enjoy football, but I am not looking to this year’s Super Bowl becoming co-led by Swift herself.

The amount of time shes shown is soo overblown.. the way people talk you'd think she'd take up 10+ mins of air time every game :rip: They show her when the plays are over anyways so who cares.. would you rather see another ad? :rip:

exactly :rip:

Its only overblown cause people care more about her internationally and her moments go viral than the actual game. Her power is not her fault :kitty:

People just want to see her and that’s that on that :bird:

I don't know how much it costs to buy the certifications but they might not want to invest literal millions to update her discography at an all-time high in terms of public interest. Maybe they're waiting for a slow period or a decline to remind people of how big she is.

Like, even Message In A Bottle is platinum eligible. She is undercertified by like 30M units in albums only, I can't begin to imagine how much single units she has undercertified (honestly, probably between 100-150M).

I love how Travis knows he is dating theee Taylor Swift. Her previous boyfriends, especially the last two, were so insecure, but he exudes big dick energy and confidence

Spoiler

He'll probably show his true colours when they break up, but so far so good.

I think it really helps that he's one of the most successful in his field too, and not in the field of arts.

I can kinda understand why Joe would be insecure when he is a Z-list actor dating the biggest artist on Earth.

sdfjlksdj sis they're $350 each :deadbanana4:

and yes I know how much it costs because there was a point in 2019 when I was considering buying a certification for each of the Lover singles, until I saw how much paperwork I'd need that I didn't have
