If you really want to ignore it and act like it doesn't matter, that doesn't make the rest of what I said any less true.

I don't get why the Rep stans never stop at "Rep is better", but always have to try to prove that Rep is somehow performing better than her other pure pop albums. It used to be with Lover, dragging it for having no #1 singles. Since 2023 it's been pretty clear that Lover is blowing Rep out of the water. Now y'all are trying to argue with Midnights instead, and it still isn't landing or becoming true.

It's perfectly fine to think Rep is her best pop album. I don't share this opinion but I can see why it would be very endearing. But pack it up with the need to show Rep is more successful than it really is (which is already a ******* lot), it's not surpassing Lover/Midnights, and Rep TV is not touching 1989 TV.

The point is that midnights was released at her commercial peak and no one is saying that reputation is bigger but a 2017 album outdoing a 2022 album in multiple platforms is definitely impressive. Don't Blame Me is literally outstreaming multiple singles from Midnights despite lacking playlist / radio exposure. And actually reputation doesn't really benefit from the hype. I'm currently NOT playing it on Spotify cuz I don't want to give any coin to whoever owns that album now and I am pretty sure many religious swifties do the same. So yes it could be doing like 1m more daily streams if she owned that album.

Btw if Midnights really wins AOTY Aaron will not be awarded anything despite him inarguably having the best songs there with The GOD war and WCS. I wonder why she didn't send Midnights deluxe for AOTY. And yes it's possible to send the deluxe albums for Grammy's.

This decision is confusing me as well. 3AM has 2 great highlights (TGW and WCS) that elevate the album a loooot :rip:

wouldnt surprise me if she only wins 1 award and they use her for ratings

I'll be happy with Best Pop Vocal Album and SOTY :michael:

Honestly, if I had to chose, I'll take Best Pop Vocal Album. Taylor is known as the albums artist and she's always rewarded for her entire body of work, so it'll be a nice continuation of that narrative :ihype:

I think "Karma Remix" is just too bad of a remix for it to win Pop Duo/Group, even when it's the only hit nominated.

So I think Taylor's only win will be Pop Vocal Album and even there I can envision an Olivia upset win, cause she campaign a lot for it. :lakitu:

Aaron def deserved his flowers for TGW, HI and WCS. Maybe they just thought the album is more cohesive with just the standard version idk

I just hope she wins one of the big categories. Idc about pop solo, pop duo or bpva. I don't even necessarily care about AOTY or SOTY, just give her one of the big ones

Are they being told to only give each artist a single vote? I don’t understand “I haven’t voted for Olivia yet so I put her here”

Floppiest year being the year with Delicate and especially the Rep Tour? :deadbanana4:

2018 was definitely bigger than 2011 and 2013.

Post the source of him saying that. Thanks!

Yeah the last I heard on his opinion regarding the issue was defending Lorde from people criticizing her for responding to BDS and canceling a concert back in 2018 :deadbanana4:

Cruel Summer rising 196k on Saturday :WAP:

The power of the weather :jonny5:

It was in the 80s in Los Angeles on Saturday which made it feel like spring/summer :smitten: JK not sure if that’s the reason why, but this is kind of scary that it gained on a Saturday :skull: If it genuinely gets boosted again from the tour and summer in general this will be coming for Top 25 of all time Spotify streams :rip:

Hi, this is probably the boldest way I could introduce myself, but I liked this thought and wanted to chime in and ask if anyone has previously taken Taylor’s performance on H100 and B200 each year (either combined or separate) and determined what her strongest and weakest years would be based on the multipliers that get assigned each decade?

As a side note: Hi nice to meet everyone — I’ve been around this forum for a few years infrequently popping in to see what’s going on in pop music and as a filtered place to catch up on all of the Taylor related activity that goes on.

Ive seen enough people start their introduction by sharing their favorite album/songs, so I figure that’s something I can share too, but I’ll do a slight twist to it — a few months ago I sat down and figured out my favorite song from each album ahead of the eras tour, feel free to judge, I enjoy the banter.

TS - The Outside

Fearless - Untouchable

Speak Now - Innocent (Username inspiration)

Red - Treacherous

1989 - All You Had To Do Was Stay

rep - Dancing With Our Hands Tied

Lover - I Think He Knows

Folklore - Peace (Overall Favorite Song)

Evermore (Overall Favorite Album)- Dorothea

Midnights - The Great War

Bonus: Favorite Vault Track - Forever Winter

The fact that cruel summer WILL have more streams in 2024 than 2023 is terrifying. The song is immortal. It’s already over 100 million in 2024 and we still in the first month, and it only gained like 800 million all last year In total I think. We still have tour and actual summer boosts coming too

Hi! Welcome!

I have no idea what her biggest and weakest year on the BB200 and H100 would be. My guesses are:

- biggest BB200: 2023 (for this one, I have no doubts actually)

- weakest BB200: probably 2016

- biggest H100: 2015 or 2023

- weakest H100: 2011 or 2016 again

Cruel Summer gained over 1B streams in 2023 I think? EDIT: I quickly checked and it was below 500M when The Eras Tour started in March (477M). So it actually accumulated around 1.1-1.2B streams in 2023.

But yeah there's a possibility that it will get even more in 2024.

Cruel Summer should be retitled Cruel Year or Cruel Decade :gaygacat5:

And she really did that when she wrote the Topline (I think her writing toplines to already composed music is harder than her writing and composing from scratch IMO :-*

Fever dream high in the quiet of the night, you know that I caught it (such a smart lyric and infectious melody, no wonder people can't get enough of it)

I love Untouchable (especially the tv :jonnycat:) but I wouldn't say I like it being considered the best song on Fearless cause she didn't write it. I know she made it sound nothing like the original but still, the auteure compositrice interprète of our generation deserves to have another song highlighted from her breakthrough country classic album :clap3:

I don't think anyone has run the numbers, but as the good sis @Klein said, her strongest and weakest BB200 years are 2023 and probably 2016 (she was only charting 1989 and it wasn't doing too hot after Wildest Dreams finished its run), and her strongest/weakest H100 years are 2023 again (AH and CS alone have more points from 2023 than BS+Style+BB+WD from 2015, and that doesn't even consider Karma or LH or the album bombs) and 2016 again (2011 had most of BTD and Mean, while 2016 only had the last half of WD, OOTW, and NR, since IDWLF charted all of its weeks in the 2017 Billboard Year).

Also, hi! Welcome! You have impeccable taste, especially the Innocent, Treasureous, Praying With Our Hands Clasped, and Peace stanning. Plus, we always need more evermore fighters in this base!

I like the ring of Cruel Career, getting two signature hits back to back almost 20 years in is not an easy achievement
