fridayteenage Posted January 21 Posted January 21 ugh midnights out for now. on the bright side, folklore became her 5th album with 30+ weeks in the top 10. runners-up janet/whitney/mariah have 3 each.

Lets hope TS11 has the strength to surpass 21's record I'm actually pretty ******* pissed about this, though. I can't believe it came down to like 1000 units, and that it was TWO of her albums that blocked it 1

anastaciabby Posted January 21 Posted January 21 The Nathan D suckers can go Stan that other girl he was working with or stop living in the past After all the growth she’s done it’s sad to see some of you so fixated on her going back to the past over and over and over especially to someone that she doesn’t want anything to do with 1

It no doubt will return to the top 10 at some point 1
Timeless Posted January 21 Posted January 21 All swifties ever talk about on here are charts and numbers. I'm so dead 1

If they pushed another single from midnights im sure it would get another 10+ weeks. Obviously that is very unlikely because of Cruel Smasha's longevity 3
Chartman Posted January 22 Posted January 22 People are never satisfied. Like if i tell you now Midnights returns to the top 10 later, scores 95 non-consecutive weeks inside the top 10 than declines hard... some will complain how it missed out on 100 weeks.
Kasix Posted January 22 Posted January 22 (edited) Would you guys consider “Lover” to have been a brand new album in 2023 to the broader audience? Given that it has climbed above Mid nights at this point, receiving 10k sales per week like all other Taylor albums, doing 10m+ on Spotify everyday etc when it used to be in the top 50s? Edited January 22 by Kasix
Sweeftie13 Posted January 22 Posted January 22 At this point we have to resign ourselves to the fact that TS11 will probably be a kind of Lover 2.0 (not an identical album like Folkmore but certainly very inspired). Honestly she could reuse that upbeat pop sound with good lyrics and she'd get her new AOTY and 100 consecutive BB200 top 10 weeks, with at least two #1s
1989 Posted January 22 Posted January 22 At this point I don’t trust anyone who comes into the base and can’t immediately name their Speak Now top 5 tbh 3 2

idkwiam Posted January 22 Posted January 22 Sorry but if you want Midnights above folklore on the charts you a Taylor Swift hater. Folklore deserves EVERYTHING. 4

Sure Taylor has grown. That doesn't mean we should stop stanning for the excellency they've made together. 1
1989 Posted January 22 Posted January 22 The urge to change my username is strong, but I’m not sure if I’m ready to give up THE 1989 that I lucked into

Treacherous and Sad Beautiful Tragic are in my top fifteen Taylor songs of all time, there’s no denying them. However, to be such a long album (even before the TV), it just doesn’t measure up, IMO. State Of Grace, Red, Holy Ground, Begin Again, Come Back…Be Here, Nothing New, I Bet You Think About Me, Forever Winter, and ATW (in any form) are all A+ of course, but the rest of the album has always fallen flat for me. That’s 11 songs, less if I count the original album. It’s just always been super bloated IMO, unlike Fearless, Speak Now, 1989, Folklore, or Evermore. Certain songs on Red will always rank among her best ever, but if I’m ranking it as a whole album in her discography, it ultimately resides towards the bottom. 1
mael Posted January 22 Posted January 22 I don't girlies.... EU leg might do have a huge impact for Her commercial wise in that region....
State of Grace. Bejeweled is coming for Midnight Pain next. And the way YOYOK has been rightfully stomping on all of them. I love when talent wins. 2
