Cleanromantic Posted January 17 Posted January 17 This BOP Summer of forty-five Picked me up late one night we were 17 and crazy running wild wild he was trying to skip rocks on the ocean saying to meeeeeh She doesn't need MM to produce BOPS, and this is more interesting sonically than what he did on Red, which sounded like everything on the radio in 2012. Starlight still sounds fresh and timeless and it has this 60s feel to it 3 1

Folklore is just that absolute classic. Mids might leave the top ten temporarily but it will return once the newer debuts cool off. her tour is starting again in 2 weeks so I fully expect it to give it a bit of a boost even in the US.
Cleanromantic Posted January 17 Posted January 17 Ohh ohh ohhh ohhh OHHHH I KNEW at 4:04 the best vocal she improved on the tv, it's in the og too but it's very weak and the Happy Birthday twist at the end is punchier and more poignant so it makes more impact 6

It's starting in 2 weeks? That time off was so fast. Imagine how tired she must be.
vale9001 Posted January 17 Posted January 17 (edited) I have noticed look what you made me do Is now #3 on her huge playlist This Is Taylor Swift, just after CS and Is It over now? It became kinda of viral recently? Or is because Rep TV Is coming. But if this Is the reason what's the point to overexpose an old version just before the new?. Edited January 17 by vale9001
mael Posted January 17 Posted January 17 (edited) Her physicals decreasing kinda highlights the relatively low streaming numbers for MIDnights. Edited January 17 by mael 1 3
vale9001 Posted January 17 Posted January 17 (edited) Also on This Is Taylor Swift First folkmore Song Is August at #29 and Cardigan (despite being on global top 200) is only at #31. Her label said "pop music!" Edited January 17 by vale9001

I think it's just reached that point of being old enough to be nostalgic, plus the big moment it got on tour driving the streaming growth. It's almost at a million a day, but I don't think it's meaningfully gone viral on TikTok or anything. 2
Klein Posted January 17 Posted January 17 Top 5 in her discography. The way she managed to elevate an already perfect song with the TV. I truly didn't think it would be possible. 1
Klein Posted January 17 Posted January 17 (edited) Red really suffers from having too many tracks. It's the album with the most songs in my all time favorites (State Of Grace, Treacherous, All Too Well 5+10, Sad Beautiful Tragic, The Last Time, Holy Ground, Begin Again, The Moment I Knew, Forever Winter, Better Man, Safe & Sound if that counts...) but I still prefer evermore because there are many tracks on Red that were not really essential (The Lucky Ones, Run, Starlight, I Almost Do, Girl At Home), without being bad per say (except Stay Stay Stay which... let's not even get into it), that should have been left off for a more enjoyable experience. I guess our girly was just going through a chaotic time and couldn't stop writing. evermore and Red TV are truly a top 2 many artists would love to have. Edited January 17 by Klein 5 1

I think the thing about Red is that it’s just such a specific, perfect moment in her writing and composition. It’s like a perfect tapestry of songs that all work so well together but, to me anyway, could never work on another album the same way. A big part of why it hit so hard for me is that it feels more like a sequel to Red than a sister to Folklore, and we’ve talked about this before, but I realize it more and more as I go through life with both albums. They’re both these albums that are almost disjointed in covering various sounds and genres, but manage to have a piercingly clear vision and identity, largely owed to heartbreak as a topic. I could write literal full books about how much I love these albums 3
