She will literally have to leave the Grammys immediately to get to Japan the afternoon before the first of 4 concerts. 4 straight concerts really increases the chances the vocal injury so her team will have her being really careful and rest her voice. Additional rehearsals and singing for Grammys would be far too big of a risk for to little gain and is also a significant distraction when her and her team will be focusing on resuming the tour. There is even a small chance that she will skip the Grammys if her tour needs rehearsals for set list changes or just rust. She loves awards but she values putting on a perfect show for people paying her 10 million+ a night more. Yeah the more I think about it the less likely a performance is happening. I think she'll attend the ceremony as a thank you for the noms, have her fun and maybe collect something then fly straight to Japan. 59 minutes ago, 1989 said: I’m 50/50 on if we’re getting a performance. I feel like if we do get one, it’ll obviously be something from Midnights (can’t imagine she wouldn’t perform something from the AOTY nominee with the biggest chance of winning and further making history). However, I also see it not being a single. I honestly can see her performing YOYOK or Mastermind acoustic, and tying it into Eras somehow. What a Grammy moment. I also imagined a YOYOK moment à la All Too Well at the Grammys back in the day but sadly as the others said, it's just not reasonable to expect a performance. Edited January 16 by Mandalore
Feanor Posted January 16 Posted January 16 I don't think she should perform at the Grammys. With her having 4 shows right after, it's just too much of a hassle. She should attend and just have a fun night in her seat. 1
mael Posted January 16 Posted January 16 I need Her to give me at least one track that's j-pop inspired with a full orchestra in my life time.

With less than 48 hours and a 11 hour flight+ 17 hour time difference before 4 straight shows , she isn’t going perform. She can just give an acoustic performance which she had done before. Idk why you’re so dead set on betting she won’t perform when we know that A. The Grammys leverages performances from the winners and B. Shehas an unreasonable obsession with the Grammys. Remember last year when she broke Ticketmaster record and all She wrote was “well that was cool, but you know what I think is cooler? ATW10 got nominated for a Grammy award they’re definitely not gonna give me” if she won the SOTY or ROTY, she absolutely will perform for them. And conversely, if they didn’t announce her performance by the beginning of the show then we know she did t win anything or at least anything meaningful. Edited January 16 by Kasix 1

Didn’t Cruel Summer just become one of her biggest smashes ever, and the pop songs elevated Lover to become her album with most daily streams? 1

I thought he was just a random pophead gay He's the embassador of La Défense Arena, the venue where Taylor is playing 4 times next year, and he knew she was coming and that more dates were going to be announced. So yes, he's pretty influential. Several other artists (to varying degree of success) also came to his podcast.
Hunter_13 Posted January 16 Posted January 16 Her songs all rose in the US despite it being a holiday! Cruel Summer back inside the top ten.
1989 Posted January 16 Posted January 16 Nah, the Grammys don’t need a full on rehearsal from Taylor. She could show up, fart once and then leave halfway through and they’d grovel at her feet, lbr. The only issue standing in Taylor’s way is if she wants to allow herself the extra time to rehearse a full on pop performance she feels comfortable enough with, which I really doubt is happening. That’s why I’m personally betting on an acoustic performance if we get one at all. Also, YOYOK and Mastermind are literally made for a moment like this.

foundwonderland Posted January 16 Posted January 16 An Insider on Twitter who got a few things right says Taylor is close to announcing rep tv and I think they even said an announcement this month. If there's an announcement coming the Grammy's would be perfect and with a performance too. I feel like she is 100% going to perform.

There's really nothing that stands out about it, same goes for Maroon and half of MIDnights. It's good, but very by-the-numbers. I think the next step that She should take is to branch out and find more producers that can elevate Her lyrics and really execute the sound that Her lyrics are conveying. Godtonoff and Dressner can only provide so much of that on certain songs, She needs more of them. I see we're still pretending that GODnights isn't the fantastic album that it is.. 1 5
