Lille Posted January 14 Posted January 14 Midnight Rain is such a smash-that-got-away. The way I can vividly imagine the girls posting tikytokys and instas with "He wanted it comfortable/I wanted that pain/He wanted a bride/I was making my own name" because they left broke up with their high school boyfriend to work as a secretary at the dentist's office two towns over. 2 7
BloodLuster Posted January 14 Posted January 14 tbh I don't use Lavander that much these days Midnight Rain deserved the MV 1
Cleanromantic Posted January 14 Posted January 14 I want her to write more songs to tracks composed by Sam Dew and Sounwave like she did on Lavender Haze and Glitch . They just have this cool, chic electro-R&B sound to the instrumentals they make 4
mael Posted January 14 Posted January 14 (edited) Lavender Snooze is kinda forgettable, I agree. There's really nothing that stands out about it, same goes for Maroon and half of MIDnights. It's good, but very by-the-numbers. I think the next step that She should take is to branch out and find more producers that can elevate Her lyrics and really execute the sound that Her lyrics are conveying. Godtonoff and Dressner can only provide so much of that on certain songs, She needs more of them. Edited January 14 by mael 1 6
Lemon Posted January 15 Posted January 15 Yes, Lavender Haze is that bumpy, lounge, nocturnal, but chill style that she definitely should explore more. Snakehips’ remix is probably equally great. 1 1
Kyle-x Posted January 15 Posted January 15 Lavender Haze still hits for me personally. Her vocal delivery is ear candy on that one. The video is quite underrated btw and I think it's the best of the era. 5 1
TaggedGalaxy Posted January 15 Posted January 15 The way I say I hate this song but i sing it with my hole büssy when it comes on 1
Edge Of Glory Posted January 15 Posted January 15 question...? for the culture: do you think it's time for the "taylor swift is an underdog" narrative to be fully retired, and for TS11 to lyrically be very confident and bold? Spoiler i ask mainly bc my brother proposed that idea. he's not really a fan of her, he finds her too calculating/fake, but respects her musicality/work ethic. his idea basically being that, since she's won in pretty much every area, another album with her posited as the underdog would feel incredibly insincere. i see his point but im also super unsure if she could execute that well LMAO taylor at her core is rehearsed, neurotic, and a little corny, and an effortless seeming bad ***** album seems beyond reach imo dkjdfj
BloodLuster Posted January 15 Posted January 15 the way rep TV was probably made/finished when she had that rebound with M**** and started dating Travis... whew
venuss Posted January 15 Posted January 15 (edited) 1989 (Ryan Adam’s Version) is hitting HARD today I need that sound from Taylor. I just KNOW she has that sound/vibe in her Edited January 15 by venuss . 1

Also everyone feels like a mess after Covid, no one sings i'm unique about himself. I hope she continues to go at these games where people insult her, we want 3M debut for TS11. idkwiam Posted January 15 Posted January 15 The way swifties on Twitter are ranting about Max Martin production skills because of the new Ariana Grande's song (even though it will debut top 2) but they never speak when a new ATROCIOUS song of Jack comes out cuz it would have to make noise first and barely any song of his without Taylor has been super successful. No one wants another full Max Martin album in ******* 2024 but only 1-2 songs with his production team cuz at the end of the day he is still the biggest producer of all times. And there's nothing wrong with Taylor doing another song with Ryan Tedder or working with Mark Ronson.

But I hope something new and new producers

Hunter_13 Posted January 15 Posted January 15 Speaking of Lavender Haze this remix still bops for me.

Cleanromantic Posted January 15 Posted January 15 I remember being GAGGED when I first heard this on a TV channel that played Music Videos back in 2012 1
Cleanromantic Posted January 15 Posted January 15 Spoiler speaking of the hunger games, its so funny how that girl litrally copied the safe and sound mv and nobody mentioned it cause Taylor is public enemy number 1 2 1
Sweeftie13 Posted January 15 Posted January 15 honestly I would like a collaboration between Taylor and Mark Ronson for the next album, with a sound like this: 2
