We need digital deluxe versions of 1989 TV with Say Don't Go, Now That We Don't Talk, Suburban Legends, SIut! and Is It Over Now? (live from The Eras Tour) ASAP to secure the #1. 1989 TV must avenge Midnights and score some easy weeks at #1

even just a cute mv for Is It Over Now? that uses footage of the photoshoot for the album cover would literally do the trick and help her edge over Morgan for some easy weeks on top...but sadly she is dead set on not giving visuals for her #1 singles at the moment :'( (I get she is busy and working on new music but home girl could literally get an editor to edit a cute tour mv for Cruel Summer and a behind the scenes photoshoot mv for Is It Over Now? and it would make all the difference and satisfy fans beyond belief :'( )

Or she can just take an hour to sign 5k CDs to secure it whenever it gets close.

But she’s not moving at all

she wouldn’t care to promote an album that already has 6 weeks at #1. she’s probably focused on her next project

no just rep and then debut as predictable.

Her albums- projects cycles have became more unpredictable in the streaming era but still I really don't see her to release a new full studio album without the proper rollout and awaiting before, while touring and just months after a re release (especially if these are very big like 1989 and rep and not Speak now).

I still see a new album not before 2025. Her attendence at the Golden Globes was at the Poor Things table and with Searchlight Pictures bosses there too. Speaking of hints (after attending at poor thins premiere too) she's saying the movie is coming too like these re releases.

I would really like the idea of an album it's a soundtrack or a fictional album inspired by the movie story. It would be a great idea to make something unexpcted and diffetnet and it would have a big impact on culture. I mean when a MPG made a project is all togheter an album the artist wrote, a real theatrical movie (not like just a visual musical movie) the same artist directed and a movie the same artist wrote. There is the potential for a pop culture event.

Maga wallen just discounted his album to 7.99 on iTunes lol. On one hand it’s funny cus it ain’t selling more than 50 more copies anyway but on the other hand he probably wins even without the discount anyhow :penguin:

Where did you guys even get this notion that rep is coming first and then debut lol. It’s been the other way around all along.
The country album first in Q2 and then the pop album in Q4.

as for her movie, I’m sure it’s just something she was thinking of doing prior to midnights when she’s unsure how her future music career would be. But since then she’s become the closest thing to MJ/the Beatles I’d wager she’s gonna let that stuff rest a few years before picking it up.

I totally agree with you except I dont think she should make the soundtrack for her directorial debut. The movie needs to stand alone and separate from her music and status in music. Her directorial debut will be a true test and she will want to separate both aspects from her career I think to maybe prove a point of sorts. But for a future film she directs like her 3rd film or something then yes, I would love for that tbh!

to clarify: music doesn't have to be in the movie. I agree Taylor songs in the background on a Taylor directed movie would be weird. I mean something just connected thematically it's an exstention and can still live on its own even without the movie. Like the movie without the album.

then in that case i LOVE the idea and would absolutely want that for her directorial debut. Creating an album that co exists with the film and touches on it thematically and plays with the plot etc all while not necessarily being in the film is ideal I think.

Are we getting an original song for the movie soundtrack or not?:

Nope, reputation is coming first and then debut. She is bot wearing so mich green and also recently a snake print for no reason plus in her Times Person Of The Year magazine she literally teased it saying that she promises Reputation vault tracks are gonna be fire

It's not like i remember all the millions clowns post by Swifties about everything and the contrary of everything but I remember at some point everyone was sure her hints were about 1989 next and then speak now came first.

If She has both ready She could actually really switch them even if It was intended otherwise.

1989 is doing really good and basically selling like a new pop album (#2 WW this week after almost three months, still fighting for a #1 every week on BB200), so it has a potential for another radio single on pop radios.

Plus a fall release for an album is better so could push a pop album in that season.  And for one time rep doesn't come After 1989, which once again could make it being perceived as a downgrade both in terms of Sales and critical acclaim.

While should be an upgrade in both these metrics after debut.

what do you mean with a cult? I just see a choir, of most probably not fans, doing a medley.

right, but when it's done in the style of a hymn, it's a different story...

I 100% agree with you, Id prefer her to release ST during spring and end re-releases with a bang aka Reputa. But i fear its pretty much confirmed, its also teased in Karma mv teacup. I guess we have to wsit and see!

it's possible. Closing the all thing with "Taylor" is cute but at the same time clearly that album will make less noise than all the others while rep would be a more noisy closing.

But maybe makes sense too cause the "break" to create hype for the next studio album upon pop listeners will be longer.
