While 1989 TV has big chances of being the YE BB200 #1 album (unless she releases TS11 tbh), there's no way Cruel Summer will be the YE H100 #1 song. I know I'm one to always doubt Taylor but Cruel Summer will not last long enough to accumulate enough points for this. A smash that will come in February/March will take the title.

I'm so curious about PUTA TV vault tracks. I hope they really sound more like how rep sounds in the live versions (so more rock and punk) and how it was probably meant to sound in an ideal world where she wasn't forced to work with Max Martin again.

I feel She won't attend. Clearly She won't win and doesn't have like something to promote right now.

Could attend some after party instead.

Pagesix make stuff up all the time about her. They have no source and are just trying to milk a Taylor Travis headline.

She could still go but I doubt it unless she's confirmed to win? Because it doesn't seem like that category will be televised.

Exactly.

Also she's clearly annoyed to be always nominated by GG for clout but without wins.

She didn't attend last year clearly for this reason.

cowboy like me is indeed the best song on folklore. :sistrens:

I expect her at the Globes even though she’ll lose. Nothing is more important to her these days than sucking up to the film industry.

The only reason I would want her at the GG awards is to see her in a new dress. The Globes are just...utterly useless nowadays.

Last year attendance wasn’t  since Golden Globes was still recovering from racism/corruption voting scandal. Attendance will likely be better this  year but still not recovered fully .

if she goes, it will likely because she wants to network more with Hollywood  people for her movie.

There’s a chance but she has no pressing reason to attend.

anyone that voted Lover as the worst deserves a threadban, I don’t make the rules :coffee2: it’s clearly not the best but it’s better than several of them.

As for worst, IDWLF isn’t even the worst when that career bottom 5 Look is right there…

From the good sis @tanooki's GOAT spreadsheet:

1. Taylor Swift - Shake It Off 915,875 (#156)

2. Taylor Swift - Anti-Hero 902,370 (#173)

3. Taylor Swift - You Belong With Me 768,860 (#363)

4. Taylor Swift - Blank Space 762,070 (#407)

5. Taylor Swift - Love Story 704,900 (#577)
6. Taylor Swift - Cruel Summer 650,675 (#827)

7. Taylor Swift - I Knew You Were Trouble. 582,210 (#1179)
8. Taylor Swift - We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together 543,438 (#1383)

9. Taylor Swift Featuring Kendrick Lamar - Bad Blood 474,963 (#1874)
10. Zayn / Taylor Swift - I Don't Wanna Live Forever (Fifty Shades Darker) 402,000 (#2459)

Cruel Summer should climb over Love Story in the next 2-3 weeks depending on how it charts, and probably Blank Space and YBWM a few weeks after that, but I don't think it'll get higher than third unless it has insane longevity.

I wonder how high shake it off would have been if AATB didn’t exist and it spent 12 weeks straight at #1 (ignoring everything else in this scenario / it having the same chart run except for those 8 weeks at #2 being at #1 instead)

Ended gaylorism :clap3:

But tbh I'm mind-blown that the NYT would have published this article.

Just finished watching and he dragged tbh. I can't believe the mental gymnastics in that article trying to present itself as facts and how the NYT allowed this to be published on their platform.

This is truly a career highlight. The way every single line in that song is a home run, the production is amazing, the melodies are fantastic, the vocals are either haunting or hurting...

Aaron said this was the best song he did with Taylor and honestly... truly arguable. This is just so amazing.

God rest my soul, I miss who I used to be
The tomb won't close, stained glass windows in my mind
I regret you all the time
I can't let this go, I fight with you in my sleep
The wound won't close, I keep on waiting for a sign
I regret you all the time

The back to back mess of the Paramore breakup rumors, RS reporting that Maisie Peters is opening Eras in Europe, Maisie denying, Variety denying the breakup rumors :toofunny2:

anything for that Taylor clout I guess, even from “prestigious” outlets…

The back to back to back gut punches of WCS, Dear Reader, and Hits Different is probably the best part of midnights tbh

Does anyone by chance…

Spoiler

… have a link where I could download audio files of The Eras Tour? I'd like to add some of the live versions to my library. :lakitu:

I guess this is from Taylor's team

https://amp.cnn.com/cnn/2024/01/06/business/taylor-swift-new-york-times/index.html

Such a low, weird, disgusting move by the NYT. F--- them and the delusional creeps they chose to platform.

Quote

Because of her massive success, in this moment there is a Taylor-shaped hole in people’s ethics,” a person close to the situation, who requested anonymity to speak candidly, told CNN.

“There seems to be no boundary some journalists won’t cross when writing about Taylor, regardless of how invasive, untrue, and inappropriate it is - all under the protective veil of an ‘opinion piece,’” the person added.

It's bad enough that some people would take everything they can out of context to build their narrative despite Taylor herself stating she's not part of the community and that she didn't like at all that her friendships (male or female) were sexualized... but to be platformed on such a huge scale is beyond ridiculous. :rip:
