On a completely separate list of sounds, my “this will never happen” list, I would love her to explore sounds like Björk’s Vespertine. She’d sound great next to that kind of intricate, delicate wintery production and I need more of that in my life. She can call it Snowbore for the haters!

Oh this spill. We need her Gypsy on TS11. The critical and commercial smash that would be  

 

It would also be a very natural progression from Midnights, seeing as that song has that 80s flare but it’s far from being a generic 80s synthpop song.

I really want to see what Taylor can do blending her pop-esque Swiftian melodic style with those sounds and compositional styles. A lot of these musicians have a very different melodic sense to her, and even when Taylor learned more alternative with folkmore she maintained her signature melodic sensibilities. I mean, evermore is basically Fearless in a The National wig (and that’s why it’s arguably her best work). Also, I’m sure I’m forgetting some songs/albums/artists that have popped into my head before, but I just made this list up from memory, so

When I first listened to reputation it was the only song that didn't click. But after some listens whew chills. It's definitely one of her most underrated songs.

Just saw that Cruel Summer is recovering massively after the Christmas season, has a very big lead over #2, and no hit inside the top 10 coming to threaten its position. It's been top 10 since mid-July. Looks like it's going to have monster longevity on radio.

Also, what I can see and hear Taylor doing greatly is something in the vein of CMAT’s debut album - pop/alt-country brimmed with wit, dry humour and her usual emotional catchiness.
