This is exactly what I want.mp3

i neeeeed MUNA to be producers on TS11, as well as HAIM. Jack can go now.

I really am praying MUNA got 5 minutes with Taylor on the tour bus to show her some instrumentals because I just KNOW their sound would fit Taylor like a glove.

if i kept track correctly, weeks in the sales top 10 in the US:

Midnights 56 weeks

Folklore 50 weeks

Lover 37 weeks

so much for "frontloaded sales from multiple version pre-orders!"

:coffee: Oh yes because those songs from the 70's and 90's wouldn't be outdated ? Make it make sense.....

only 2 I listed are from the 70’s/80’s… also I said INSPIRATION, not fully copy like how Olivia directly replicated the sound of 2000’s pop rock in her debut and sophomore album. And name 4 mainstream artists who have attempted rock sounds that don’t sound like Misery Business. Every mainstream artist who has done rock has mostly done an overdone trend of early 2000’s pop rock. Taylor already did that with the original Speak Now album; Better than revenge is a direct product of the popular sound at the time. Why should she just do the same thing NOW? No. She needs something different. Something new, original, yet still taking references from the sounds that came before her.

No point hoping for a certain sound from her, it will only end in disappointment. The only time it really came true was Folklevermore and I think the industry was really happy with that switch hence why she won AOTY#3. Switch it up queen for that 4th AOTY! I’ll take any sound at this point :monkey:

I know. TS11 is probably synth pop again because she probably worked with Jack again. :monkey:

Now that’s a concept

Taylor’s next lead single being Number One Fan flavored would be a STOMP

The second single could sound like Pink Light :jonny2:

I was under the impression that when we said rock album we were talking about either Fleetwood Mac soft rock or U2/State of Grace arena rock, not 2000s pop rock.

That's what I have in mind when I say I want a rock album. No way in hell should she try the 2000s punk rock vibe. First because I don't think it would suit her well (Better Than Revenge is a banger, but a whole album like this? nope), second because I'm 1000% convinced she would not touch on the sound that is most associated with Olivia of all people currently.

If she does a rock sound, I’m going to need some influences from Red, from The National, etc, but I would want the primary sound of the album to be Fleetwood Mac inspired. There’s an element of pure magic with their best work that would fit her perfectly - sounds like Gypsy, Storms, Sara, Dreams, Rhiannon. Basically a Stevie Nicks era if we’re being honest, but Lindsey Buckingham’s style would be more than welcome. Taylor would sound perfect on a song like Trouble with that little instrumental hook in the chorus, I think she’d sound great on Go Your Own Way, and plenty more.

Honestly, after the Midnights promo started, that’s what I assumed it was going to sound like based on the imagery. :rip:

On a completely separate list of sounds, my “this will never happen” list, I would love her to explore sounds like Björk’s Vespertine. She’d sound great next to that kind of intricate, delicate wintery production and I need more of that in my life. She can call it Snowbore for the haters!

When I heard Folklore for the first time, I could just taste the quality and I hope to get that experience again with TS11. It was magic.

The sound will probably come from the themes. The themes are most likely: heartbreak, walking away from something you used to love, messy rebound, finding freedom, celebrating life, lots of celebrating, new love with a Viking. Did I forget something?

Taylor loves a positive message and I think the main theme will be: finding freedom and living her life her way. I think the sound will be vibrant.

We need a Country Rock Album a la Lucinda Williams

When you all say TS11 rock, and I agree, this is what’s in my head.

What about you?

Yup this type rock if its not pysch dream rock sounding. None of that corny and cheesy punk rock that Avril is doing. We need quality. But I’ve been asking for a rock album since Red’s Holy Ground and State of Grace but it will probably never happen. Any new sound is welcome at this point. Even Hiphop:deadbanana2:

I really want something sultry, kind of like a bunch of songs that sounds like Slvt, False God, Maroon, and ICSY. The songs could potentially have psychedelic or 70s feel to them, I don't even care if they're a bit midnightsy. I just want it to sound like "I'm all alone in my penthouse apartment thinking of you, I look amazing, but where are you?"

Though TJATQ is underrated in the fandom. It's decently good, not the next level horrendous garbage people pretend it is.

Long, hand written note, deep in your pocket

Words, how little they mean, when you're a little too late

...

Good girls, hopeful they'll be, and long they will wait :weeps:

In dreams, I meet you in long conversation

...

Time is taking its sweet time erasing you

You've got your demons and darling they all look like me

These lyrics+ The palpable anguish/ heartbreak/ sorrow in her voice destroy me every single listen, yet I keep coming back. And the cherry on top is when she added the ohh ohhs before the bridge that she first did when she played it live during the Red Tour :jonnycat:

I want to fall deeply in love with someone so that I can experience heartbreak this profound, but then I want them to comeback to me and apologise so that we be together again cause I love a happy ending but also because I don't think I could live with heartache this strong.

I don't know how she survived Red tbh

This might be my favorite line in her entire discography. This hits wayyy too hard everytime. I absolutely love how, especially on her earlier albums, she could say things so meaningful and so poignant with the simplest sentences. This is the perfect example of that.

Sad Beautiful Tragic truly is the most special and magical song in her repertoire.
