Dear Reader Posted December 29, 2023 Posted December 29, 2023 I like your theories about TS11, but I really am a firm believer on the Karma video theory. There's no way that she announced 1989 in August and she's not announcing Rep in Feb. 1
Lille Posted December 29, 2023 Posted December 29, 2023 Has the original 1989 been charting since the TV came out? It's still getting a big amount of streams, so I was curious.

Lille Posted December 29, 2023 Posted December 29, 2023 Thanks! So 1989 will keep racking up weeks on the Billboard 200 and maybe become the longest charting female album...eventually.

Girl the Karma video was filmed like two months before she broke up with Joe and spent 3 months practically living at Electric Lady studios, even if that was the plan before, she's got new music to release and I don't think she's going to want to sit on a breakup album for too long into hew new and promising relationship

The last time she released new material was in 2021. She's not going to sit on her new material for years because some of her stans think she can't release new material during the Eras Tour. Taylor isn't wired like that. Watch her, she will release new material in 2024. Edited December 29, 2023 by Fama 2

But for all we know, she could be making a whole different setlist for 2024. 1

Cruel Summer Posted December 29, 2023 Posted December 29, 2023 I do think Reputation being announced in February was the original plan. That coffee clock shot was just too straightforward and on-the-nose to have been coincidental. But I also think it’s possible things have changed and that her plans could be a little different. This year has gone all kinds of crazy since the tour began, and she’s at this very weird super-peak moment right now where I think she probably values making the best moves she can rather than sticking to a plan from before this came about. What she thinks that is, though, is anyone’s guess. Maybe she decides to just stay the course and go with Reputation next anyway. It has to be tough to know what to do next, given she was already THE biggest star in the world already and then suddenly she was so inescapably huge that she shattered every touring record in existence and moved nearly 50m units globally in just one year 1
West Coast Posted December 29, 2023 Posted December 29, 2023 UK Year End Chart 2023: #4. Anti-Hero #11. Cruel Summer #99. Karma 2
Feanor Posted December 29, 2023 Posted December 29, 2023 (edited) I do feel like she should get the two last remaining TVs out of the way in 2024, finish the tour and then release TS11 in spring/summer 2025, with maybe a more unique concert tour the same year: Perhaps a festival tour (Coachella, Glastonbury, Rock In Rio) or she could bring back the LoverFest concept or she could have a few truly massive open field concerts with over 100k people in attendance. That being said, for the past 3 years she had a new release out during the lucrative holiday season: 2021: 'RED (Taylor's Version)' 2022: 'Midnights' 2023: '1989 (Taylor's Version)' Giving 'Debut (TV)' this big release slot (assuming 'reputation (TV)' is an early 2024 release) would feel sort of… underwhelming? She has never particularly cared for her debut album in recent years, so I don't know if she'd suddenly make it her big holiday season push. Therefore I wouldn't be surprised if she dropped TS11 in fall 2024 after all, which would also fit her 2-year intervals for original albums. Edited December 29, 2023 by Feanor 1

It was always going to be the album that would have the most difficult job replacing the OG. its got the most local fan base who wouldn’t bother to switch the Blank Space/SIO/Style’s in their playlists to the TVs, or they don’t even know the TV exists. it makes sense that it’s the re-recorded album where the OG is still doing pretty well.
