Sis… from one rep stan to another, it’s time to let it go :rip: rep is her worst performing pop album by every conceivable metric

And unless she has some tricks up her sleeve for the TV and vault tracks, it’s going to remain that way for the foreseeable future

Idk I low key seeing Rep TV smashing hard if handled properly. It has a lot more buzz then Rep did

I personally have been saying that it can smash as hard or harder than 1989 TV, but I guess we’ll just have to see. If she has some music videos lined up and 4 variants that form a snake, it will do exceptionally well. I think it’ll be the most successful vault section, easily, and it has more fan fave album tracks than 1989. Of course 1989 is far bigger and will always remain that way, but the re-recorded singles didn’t exactly stick well so :deadbanana4:  An album being more fan-carried is always a blessing in disguise for the TVs, because usually the singles stay fighting each other between both versions, but the new album tracks shine through.

Debut is the one I’m worried for. I almost hope she makes it a double album with a lot of early outtakes just for funsies. It could do well in that scenario.

Remember when people actually thought Lil Nas X was competition for her back in 2019? LOL! Even with terrible singles Lover era stood the test of time. Now Lil Has X is irrelevant and only exists as a one hit wonder. The fact that he had the nerve to celebrate his **** song surpassing Taylor's in Lover Era just to turn out to be a washed up maggot makes me laugh

I honestly don’t think it will be bigger or even close to 1989 TV.

Speaking of reputank, Delikat is such a mood killer in the reputa set. I know y'all like the 123LGB thing but I would gladly remove it from the setlist

:clack:

It's true. When you go from RFI to Delicate... back to DBM and LWYMMD? She should've put Getaway Car instead of Delicate

I simply hate these success stan swifties who obviously love Taylor only when she's at her peak. They hate reputation era / album because it was unfortunately frontloaded (even though it's now behaving like a CLASSIC album) so as soon as Taylor reached a new peak again suddenly they love Taylor again. I will always love Taylor no matter if she's at her peak GP approval or not.

OT: Travis is her best boyfriend so far. Glad to see that #that man isn't anymore in her life. :jonny6:

Lil Nas X is not a one hit wonder lol

RFI -> End Game's big reputation hook, bridge and last chorus  -> Delicate (cut short) -> DBM (full song) -> Look

the rep set would flow way better like this

REP may not have been Taylor's best performing album, but let's be honest it was still a hit era. She didn't need the GP's support with singles. By that point the Swiftie fanbase was already big enough to where people WANTED to fill those stadiums and we did. It was a sold out tour and in the long run the REP era aged well, because now Swifties glamorize it and claim it was Taylor's "bad ***** era" (in which she literally became boring/gave no interviews and the hate train was still going on + the GP weren't completely convinced that she was innocent). As someone who lived through it I don't agree with the claims that REP album/era was the best thing ever. Truth is the album is great but to claim it's even better than Lover is delusional (yes, I went there) and the era is overhyped and whitewashed into something it really wasn't.

BUT this is good news for Reputa TV. Swifties love it and it's still considered as one of Taylor's best eras. I mean look at all the hype for it? To claim that no one will care is capital D-elusional. I think IF the vault tracks are picked right (because 1989 TV's sucked) it will garner bigger hype among swifties.

both reputation and lover are great.

and both are still below all her post-fearless albums in quality

How can you say that it's delusional to prefer an album that tells a cohesive story front to back has immaculate production, has incredible visuals, has a whole narrative that shaped the future of your career, to an album album that opens with I Forgot That You Existed, and proceeds to include Paper Rings, The Man, Me!, London Boy etc.

You have it the other way around. :cm:

Just because Cruel Summer went #1, doesn't mean we are going to start pretending that Lover isn't full of filler and panders to soccer moms and kindergarteners.

Also I just remembered she is going to be making movies soon enough :jonny5: She's probably still in the incubation phase of the creative process and will likely really dive into it once the tour is over and she takes a break or something but my gosh I am SOOOOO excited about it.
