She’ll only be 42. :rip:

Society is going to run out of ways to honor her, I fear. There’ll be Kennedy Center Honors and a Presidential Medal of Freedom, but not until at least her 60s.

What else? Songwriter’s Hall of Fame, MusicCares Person of the Year, Grammy Hall of Fame are all hella khia’d but still good honors to bring attention to senior citizens in music…

She’s gonna need the Nobel Prize for Literature I fear. Apparently academics spent 20 years lobbying for Bob Dylan to get it before they finally caved and honored him. I think Lord’s takeover of the academic system is going to bear us some historic fruit eventually. :ninja:

- ROTY

- Pullitzer

- Nobel prize

also did anyone hear that in the second pre-chorus of Anti-Hero it’s the “Taylor you’ll be fine” version and not “tale as old as time”?

I never noticed that before

Yeah, it's been that way the whole tour.

The live arrangement of My Tears Ricochet is just so superior to the original. :jonny:

I think they might go ahead and give her the Kennedy Center Honours sometime later her 50s tbh. At this rate, she’ll get a Nobel Peace Prize in her 60s.

MusicCares isn’t as prestigious, but there’s no way she doesn’t get it in her 50s or 60s, they want that ceremony for sure.

But yeah, her induction into the R&R HOF will be legendary. :jonny5:

I said this before that nobody outside of Taylor massive following checks for her like that.  These critics and some of her fans have the nerve to try to compare her to Michael Jackson.

I know this is her base, but why is her second fanbase here?

This has been the case with every artist in history, billions didn’t give a damn about Michael Jackson or the Beatles either.

“Bad Blood, isn’t that Taylor Swift?”

He knew damn well that it was lmao.

You could find thousands and thousands of people during ANY artist’s imperial era and they wouldn’t know a single song. This is not unique to Taylor.

The internet and social media and the ease with which anyone can access both means that we’re much more likely to see this documented.

Hey. As a black man I can tell you the answer to this is very simple. Straight black men feel emasculated by vulnerability of emotion, and an artist like Taylor Swift primarily write songs that are vulnerable. Black men get devalued by others when they appreciate anything in proximity to femininity. It’s a cultural problem that stems from retaliation against emasculatory practices that took place during the era of slavery. It’s a deep rooted problem within our people and for you to try to use black men’s apathy towards Taylor Swift’s music as some sort of “got ya” is really disappointing

She can be the biggest artist on the planet and not be liked by certain demographics. I grew up not knowing a single Beatles or Madonna song but that didn’t somehow revoke them or their historical relevance.
