Taylor fanboy Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 (edited) For the next Taylor’s Version, I think I’m going to focus on the Vault tracks. As @Jaspurr once (as always) spilled, the experience of listening to new versions can be very unpleasant. Edited November 12, 2023 by Taylor fanboy

Just a fun little bit of solidarity I feel with the Reputation girlies out there. Her best album and my favorite album 2
DeadInside Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 I still think ICSY will be the sound she explores for TS11. 2

Dear Reader Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 oh she went CRAZY last night The Karma lyric change + the kiss + THAT MASH-UP I love this woman so much
Taylor fanboy Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 I may not be the biggest fan of MID but we are being robbed of the complete edition. Where are the Matty Healy co-wrotes? Why did he have to be so ******* problematic?

Timeless Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 Guys I noticed something. Going into the 6 LA shows, there were 3 surprise songs left to sing from 1989 and we ended up getting the 1989 TV announcement when she sang the last one "New Romantics". Now, there are also 3 surprise songs left to sing from reputation. I suspect that a reputation TV announcement is imminent before the month ends. She's either going to save IDSB or DBATC as the last one and it will be at the last Brazil show. REPUTATION TV IS COMING GET READY 2
Cleanromantic Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 the "But NO!" part in Is It Over Now and the "That's my man" outro in Willow are so addictive 2
ATRL Moderator Ampersand13 Posted November 12, 2023 ATRL Moderator Posted November 12, 2023 Last night I was working on a huge assignment for my grad program and I randomly decided to listen to my TV vinyl in chronological order partially just to make the experience more enjoyable but also to give myself a reason to stand up and take little breaks whenever the disc needed to be flipped. Mind you I have literally only been listening to 1989TV lately. I made it from Fearless all the way to the end of Red (which I haven't played on vinyl since release because it's a 45rpm and changing the belt on my turntable is annoying.) Anyway, it was absolutely glorious and I managed to submit my assignment on time There are so many songs I missed listening to. One of the many joys of Taylor's discography is almost forgetting about certain deep-cuts and then rediscovering them like phases 3
Thorn Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 What can we expect from the GRAMMYs? Or is it too early to start that conversation?

Gladiator Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 Song of the year Jack Antonoff for producer maybe pop vocal - I think Kelly or Olivia might also win
on the line Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 16 minutes ago, Thorn said: What can we expect from the GRAMMYs? Or is it too early to start that conversation? I think SOTY would be the top prize for her this year. Obviously, she's nominated for AOTY, but I don't think people will give it to her on principle because she just won for folklore a few years ago, whether or not Midnights deserves AOTY.
Thorn Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 I don't know what to expect since everyone thinks Taylor will sweep, but I don't know if we should be confident. Maybe the Grammys want to join Taylormania, or maybe they want to be unpredictable and surprise.
Anti-Hero Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 I played Cruel Summer 1,070 times in 2023 alone and now I am getting sick of it Now my bop is now we dont talk but the GP still can't get enough of Cruel Summer Do you feel the same?

Goddamn My most played track of 2023 is Maroon, with 141 plays. I only have one album that surpassed 1000 streams so far this year (unlikely another one will though), and it's evermore at 1800. 1
wastedpotential Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 (edited) 1 hour ago, Thorn said: What can we expect from the GRAMMYs? Or is it too early to start that conversation? My really early predictions are that the Grammys are going into an Oprah year ("you get a trophy and you get a trophy and you get a trophy, everyone gets a trophy"), so she'll probably only walk away with a couple so that all of the big names who show up also get to walk away with something. 2021 was a perfect example of an Oprah year, since almost all the big names who were nominated (Taylor, Billie, Harry, Dua, Gaga/Ariana) all each took home one trophy (and even Bey only got 4 on account of her being featured on Savage). That being said, from most to least likely that I think she'll get it: SOTY - I think she's too beloved for them to taunt her with this for the seventh time and then still give it to someone else PVA - seems pretty locked given the competition, but there's the outside chance it goes to Olivia here -- PSP - maybe, but I think this will either go to Miley or Billie depending on what else they might win PDGP - I'm thinking this might go to Lana/Jon or Labrinth/Billie, but Taylor/Ice have a chance ROTY - Miley or SZA or Jon Batiste (if he doesn't sweep the RnB categories, that is), I'm pretty doubtful Taylor has a shot AOTY - SZA all the way. The voting blocs are too competitive for pretty much everyone else and they aren't giving it to Taylor again this decade Edited November 12, 2023 by wastedpotential
Cleanromantic Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 Wait, I didn't realise Lover (s) has over 1 billion streams on spotify, no wonder certain people are constantly pressed
Cleanromantic Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 Defecate is close to 1 billion but I don't think it'll make it before the tv, oh well
