Holiest Dreams Posted October 26, 2023 Posted October 26, 2023 re: Question…? I think it’s mostly a good song, I actually love the lyrical content. It looks silly out of context, but in the context of the song it makes perfect sense and is totally relatable. I think the only glaring issue I have with it is the production, which is the only time I feel Jack truly missed on Midnights. Not that I wanted these producers on the album at all… but I always imagine something more in the style of Shellback or Greg Kurstin’s classic poppy guitar sound would have sounded great. I still don’t skip it tho 1
Klein Posted October 26, 2023 Posted October 26, 2023 Kinda wonder how her current domination will impact 'Christmas Tree Farm' this year. Will it smash like 'august' or is it still gonna stay a low-key song?

It used to be my favorite in my initial listens but now it’s like #5 or #6. it’s still a 10/10 Yesss Question stans unite!!! In my reorganized album track list Midnights opens with Question’s iconic I remember… and Midnights starts off as the album for the unhinged girlies. Edited October 26, 2023 by Jpkun 1

Chris Posted October 26, 2023 Posted October 26, 2023 The way Folklore is still that album. From start to finish, it's just bop after bop after bop after bop after bop. Too much talent. 2
Taylor Sniffs Posted October 26, 2023 Posted October 26, 2023 Will Taylor win BBMA top touring artist despite not releasing eras tour boxscore?
burninredhot Posted October 26, 2023 Posted October 26, 2023 So Taylor didn't submit her boxscore for the BBMAs.. what exactly is her team's thought process behind this

G.U.Y_Del_Rey Posted October 26, 2023 Posted October 26, 2023 (edited) My foes and friends watch my reign end I don't know how it could've ended this way Smoke billows from my ships in the harbor People look at me like I'm a monster Now they're screaming at the palace front gates, used to chant my name Now they're screaming that they hate me Never wanted you to hate me So underrated Edited October 26, 2023 by G.U.Y_Del_Rey 1

I’ve only listened to that song in full probably less than 10 times. Even ME! Has been played more 1
Cleanromantic Posted October 27, 2023 Posted October 27, 2023 I'm not going into that other thread cause the awful tastes and bad takes are going to be too much for me but I started with the vault songs: Slu!t: Love this. Already sounds like a classic 80s synth ballad. The lyrics are so good Spoiler I don't what people think about it but I just know if it was a Carly song everyone would be calling it a masterpiece. 3
Cleanromantic Posted October 27, 2023 Posted October 27, 2023 Not the tasteless people on Twitter being disappointed that the vault songs are not "Bops" when all of these songs are excellent The 80s midtempos and ballads with the excellent lyrics (These lyrics reveal so much more than anything on the main album so I understand why she left them out originally because the **** shaming she was dealing with at the time would've tripled and led into a big backlash) are my favorite genre so I'm living
Achilles. Posted October 27, 2023 Author Posted October 27, 2023 The entire concept of Anti-Hero being derived from a scrapped one liner in New Romantics. She’s insane, your honor. 1

Jack or Aaron would not make her scrap these excellent lyrics, but Max always makes her write succinctly so her bridges were very simplistic on 1989.
Cleanromantic Posted October 27, 2023 Posted October 27, 2023 Got love-struck, went straight to my head Got lovesick all over my bed Love to think you'll never forget Handprints in wet cement Adorned with smoke on my clothes Lovelorn and nobody knows Love thorns all over this rose I’ll pay the price, you won't But if I'm all dressed up They might as well be lookin’ at us And if they call me a **** You know it might be worth it for once 1
LiamVillain Posted October 27, 2023 Posted October 27, 2023 I'm feeling a little bit overexposure I've only listened to her for the past 2 days
