Karma doesn't have a big pop chorus? :rip:

maybe "big" isnt the right trait, but like imo its chorus doesn't seem as radio-primed as "cruel summer", "anti-hero", even "i can see you" imo? ig from the entirety of midnights, its one of the more single-worthy songs, but even then i wasn't so sure it was gonna smash like it ended up doing :chick2:

Karma chorus is so infectious though, it’s ear candy imo :cool2:

the fact that "karma" actually became a decently big hit is still so weird to me :skull: like its catchy for sure, but it doesnt have a big pop chorus, sonically it doesnt feel SUPER commercial, and the lyrics are very revolved around taylor and self-serving in a way that ik ppl sometimes get bothered with from her...everytime i hear it in public im a little gagged

What do you mean sis, it was the one clear standout track from the album since day 1. It was crafted to be a pop radio hit.

I get what you mean because I have a similar response when I hear it in public. :celestial5:

It’s too catchy I fear, the chorus isn’t big but it always got stuck in my head when the album first came out

I would gag too if I’d hear it on public but sadly, I don’t hear it locally unless it’s from my own speakers.

I won’t lie. i think she could pull off a reputationed version of thank u next for the next record in terms of pulling from public discourse and introspection, ranging from girls girl allegations to saying goodbye to dalton to a body positivity little moment from all the shite she gets for her appearance. Totally get if she doesn’t wanna sing about that though, doing the thank u next tour was already very heavy for her.

To all the reputation stans on ATRL, I think we made it!!! :lmao:

A Lover song? :gaycat:

hope ur ok tho sis :heart2:

Thank you Legend!

I’ve attached Red (album) to a specific city in my life, where I take trains to go to work from home.

I’ve moved, the pandemic came, and working from home became a thing. When I was on commute again on this train, I’ve decided to play Red TV (album) and when State of Grace TV played BAM! Nostalgia, hope, love, fear etc. An experience!

By I Knew You Were Trouble TV, my accident happened. :gaycat7:

Lying on the cold hard ground indeed.

I’d rather a swiftie create threads like it than an OTH.

However sis, can I use my payola and ask for a thread title change to “Taylor’s dreampop classic Delicate goes viral.” :bibliahh:

The marketing madness of using reputation song references in a tweet during the 1989 rollout on her way to a movie premiere :rip:

am i missing something? where is the reference? lol cause if you mean getaway car idk it seems weak to me as a reference, the post couldn't be more 1989 coded

“Look what you genuinely made me do” and the car part are very rep coded. anything else is 1989, yes :heart2:
