Back in the late 10s the Swifties and the Hive mostly got along (mainly bc it was Swifties and Ari fans that fought constantly lmao), but this tour and Taylor's ridiculously high rise to even more fame than what was thought possible has really shown the worst colors of both bases. That being said there is a truth to the whole 'Swifties were too nice' rhetoric. Having made my account here in 2016, Swifties were one of the weakest bases here on ATRL despite her curbstomping everyone by the tail end of the 1989 era. It was mostly Monsters basically using Taylor as a sub for Gaga's floppage and using it to dunk by proxy on Katy bc it made sense at the time. The only big Swifties during that time was that guy with the VSFS 2012 Taylor avi and a Filipino Swiftie who held their ground. Everyone else just kinda left Taylor alone and tolerated the skulldrags (bc no fans really wanted to argue, Swifties were too busy camping in single threads bc TS was smashing too much lol). It also needs to be said that the average gay TS fan probably doesn't listen to the same songs your average LG/KP/Rih/Bey fan do, so a lot of the times most Swifties just keep to themselves in base. At the end of the day, both B and Tay have made their amazing mark on pop culture and will continue to be in the annals of pop culture, at some point who is bigger is kind of a moot point, both have done amazing things. 7

That's why we saw the Tay v. Ari threads when Ariana had her huge Sweetener-Positions run, then Olivia when she burst onto the scene and was hailed as supplanting Taylor within the Gen Z crowd, then Adele when 30/Red TV went up against each other, and now it's all Beyoncé because they're both on record-breaking tours simultaneously. There’s a reason why streaming service didn’t buy her visuals, the know now the low success of her previous releases. They are made of Taylor achieving all what they dream 2
