checked kworb. apparently she has the #6 #9 and #10 most streamed female albums on spotify.

let's step it up. Lover's 869 million from passing billie's ep. at their current rates (which may or may not continue), it'll take another 115 days.

At current rates, Midnights 72 days from passing Thank U Next.

I'm confused - the Eras movie will only play on weekends? Fri / Sat / Sun? Why?

To try to ensure that the movie isn’t playing in near empty theaters. She wants to make it a communal event .

It's used as the Spotify canvas for the song Glitch so perhaps an easter egg for that song title

Why? I love going to movies and/or concerts alone. I've also been to concerts alone recently and I loved it. Just minded my business, drank and got my life.  Obviously be safe and not stupid/reckless but otherwise if you're an adult and have a way of getting home safely, it's all good.

Sometimes going to events with other people isn't worth the trouble tbh, especially if they're the type to be late, unreliable, extra, and/or hard to keep track of.  When I go by myself I have the freedom to come as early/late as I want, get up whenever I want to go to the bathroom or get another drink, and go wherever I want afterwards. It can be really draining to plan stuff with friends at my age of 28... lol. Like it will take weeks to coordinate plans with some friends and sometimes I'm just like screw it, life is short, I'm not waiting days/weeks for them to make a decision. I want that available ticket.

I've also met really nice people specifically at concerts I got to by myself who will gladly take pics of me in my concert outfit and what not. Most concertgoers are pretty nice in my experience.

Normalize going to movies and concerts by yourself. It's great. I don't go to everything by myself but I have zero hesitation doing so. It's the ultimate confidence booster.

i mean, watching a movie isn't something that requires other people, let alone interacting with other people.

not like a concert.

you're right tbh. I've gone to the cinema alone twice in my life (once for A Star Is Born and once for Us and both times I enjoyed myself but I felt a weird sadness at the end of the films and it wasnt because the context of the movies or anything like that...it was mostly because I had no one to talk about the movie with after watching it :( I felt kind of sad and heavy hearted. I dont want to go to the Eras Film alone if i'm going to feel that way again....I should maybe try going with a date? idk...

I do like your perspective and take on it though. It's just i've been feeling rather lonely recently. idk what it is. I used to LOVE being on my own and doing things for fun by myself but more recently I feel like I need someone and all my friends are too busy or dont like the things I like and are not willing to drag themselves to do them which is kinda sad :'(

I felt weird the first time I went time I went to a movie by myself back in 2018 (I think it was also A Star Is Born), but I loved the movie so much I forgot about any of my initial anxiety. Also when I see a movie with friends I feel like I barely get the opportunity to talk to them before or after the movie anyway.  I would just text people afterwards about it. Or post about it online.

With a concert movie, you'll just be able to escape into the concert and sing along and be happy. When the music starts I always just forget everything else. Just remember you are there for YOU because YOU want to be there and you don't even have to think about that you're there for yourself. Would you rather be by yourself or with an awkward date? (I hate movie dates tbh but that's just me lol)

Concerts I didn't start going to by myself until last month. I went to the Renaissance tour by myself because I paid quite some $ for a seat and knew none of my other friends and family would wanna go or pay that much to go as I did. Lol. Nonetheless it was still super fun and I never regretted it. I will say concerts are harder logistically than going to a local theatre, but it is certainly do-able.  My biggest recommendation if you ever go to a concert by yourself  is avoid general admission and get an assigned seat. That's the one thing I won't do by myself at a concert ever is GA. lol. I know the concert's a tangent but I know it's another type of event people are scared of ever doing by themselves.

Can someone link me the interview of her talking about why she's releasing pop albums as much as possible because female artists have "expiration" date in the music industry and they won't play your songs anymore after that?

I believe that quote is from her Netflix doc.

Youtube annual views, per kworb:

2023 #8 2.01 billion

2022 #14 2.04 billion

2021 #18 2.14 billion

2020 #33 1.98 billion

2019 #20 2.10 billion

2018 #31 2.07 billion

2017 #8 3.72 billion

2020 was a low point, but she's improved in ranking 3 years in a row.

And at her current rate, it'll take 2 weeks to get her most viewed year since 2017, since she's already close to her recent annual views.

The power of the tour, given that the most viewed today are BS, YBWM, Cruel Summer audio, and SIO, rather than anything released this decade.

It sucks how Karma and Lavender Haze are flopping in youtube views, when they are VISUALLY STUNNING masterpieces. Anti-Hero video can rot
