Taylor gave her a great opportunity with the tour and that's how she thanks her? By essentially insulting her fanbase? 1
Pop_Data Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 Are ya wanting Taylor to submit the TV of Speak Now into the Best Country Album at the Grammy? What song should she submit for Best Country Song and Performance categories? Back To December seems like it could be a contender.

Re-records are treated the same as covers and live performances and those have been submitting and winning for years (e.g. Herbie Hancock winning AOTY for an album of Joni Mitcell covers). Last year, she submitted Red TV for country album and AOTY but she didn't get a nomination. Clearly, Grammy voters will only give her a nomination for new songs. She didn't submit Fearless tv for to as many categories since she was mainly pushing evermore. For the same reason, I don't see Speak Now being submitted for much outside the vault songs since her focus will be on pushing Midnights for Grammys. Artists usually submit for every category they are eligible for. Like Normani submitted Fair for SOTY and ROTY. There is no shame in submitting something that has a near zero chance of being nominated. 1

I remember having my first crush and pirating the cover art where she's surrounded by those redneck truck lights in that blue green dress whew! I miss when she would do dedicated cover arts for singles!
Heldenzeit Posted September 17, 2023 Posted September 17, 2023 I didn't know Speak Now before the TV but I can honestly say that it's in my top 3 of her albums now. 6

Same here. I never listened to the original in full and I had the TV version on repeat for a few days so the re-records are definitely bringing in new listeners and I sense this was unexpected? I still visit some of the songs, however When Emma Falls in Love is my most played.

Damn!!!! 6m units before it's one-year anniversary could really be a possibility. Did any of her past albums ever move as many units as Midnights did in their first year? Did 1989 do it?
Starchild Posted September 17, 2023 Posted September 17, 2023 SN TV getting its flowers whew It really is an amazing album that I didn't appreciate enough until the re recording, it's top 3 for sure!
