Lemon Posted September 14, 2023 Posted September 14, 2023 Lavender Haze is so fresh sounding. Subtle club beats and her lyricism actually work well together despite production taking the main spot in this kind of song. So, expanded Lavender Haze sound for next album? 2
1989 Posted September 14, 2023 Posted September 14, 2023 I hope the bonus track is Sweeter Than Fiction

Michael196 Posted September 14, 2023 Posted September 14, 2023 Hayley’s mission for the european leg is to convince her to dye her hair red like the halloween mermaid wig and to work on the long awaited and demanded rock album…
Lille Posted September 14, 2023 Posted September 14, 2023 I've had four friends (complete locals) ask me if they saw Taylor "drunk and having fun" at the VMAs in the past two days, the way all the Olivia nonsense was dead and buried so quickly. Also, I too would love if Sweeter Than Fiction was the bonus track. The mixing on the original is off, I don't know how to explain it other than it sounds "fuzzy" to me. It's such a solid track (and the perfect intro to 1989), I would love a clean/updated version.

Holiest Dreams Posted September 15, 2023 Posted September 15, 2023 Oooh this sounds great, it’s pretty identical to the original. The trailer did it dirty 3
G.U.Y_Del_Rey Posted September 15, 2023 Posted September 15, 2023 Take me to the lakes where all the poets went to die I don't belong, and my beloved, neither do you Those Windermere peaks look like a perfect place to cry I'm setting off, but not without my muse 3

Pop_Data Posted September 15, 2023 Posted September 15, 2023 Would ya be satisfied if Taylor only won Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Pop Solo Performance and lose the general categories? Her pop Grammy stats look ugly and very inconsistent so those Pop field wins would make her stats look better.

Miley and Olivia will be a threat in the pop categories tbh Miley for Best Pop Solo and Olivia for Best Pop Vocal Album. The industry is clearly here for Taylor’s work as a director so she has better chances at winning Best Music Video over any of the pop or general categories imo

I still remember the Pharell side eye on vmas or something. And that dancing on Radioactive performance by Imagine Dragons during the AMAs and people are like “Oh, she’s found her next boyfriend/victim”. (I wished they have dated though). Anyway, at least it inspired one of her biggest smash hit Shake it Off and people are praising her now.

For BPVA, I think Midnights is still a frontrunner. LWYMMD TV sounds good Edited September 15, 2023 by enchanted0

VeniceBeach Posted September 15, 2023 Posted September 15, 2023 MOJO Magazine: 30 Artists Who Will Shape The Next 30 Years TAYLOR SWIFT “Long story short – I survived,” Taylor Swift sings on Evermore, one of two albums she released in 2020. Chronicling the toughest patches of being “young and reckless” has been integral to her high-drama mission since she emerged into the Nashville country scene as a teenager. When it comes to her 18-year career, though, Swift has done so much more than simply survive. She burst into modern pop with the fabulous post-teenage symphonies of 2014’s 1989 and 2017’s fierce Reputation. She tapped back into her roots for 2020’s Folklore and Evermore, working with The National’s Aaron Dessner, before the cool insomniac pop of 2022’s Midnights. It is her songwriting, however, that makes Swift’s long-term future so intriguing. Always a sharp narrator with a gift for the extended metaphor (see Reputation’s Getaway Car), Swift’s storytelling skills have accelerated – just listen to Evermore’s cold-lipped Tis The Damn Season, a heartbreaking Going Home For Christmas song that condenses a whole indie film into its winter breakdown, or Maroon’s crying over spilt wine. The story of her next 30 years is one nobody will be cutting short. Start with: Midnights (REPUBLIC RECORDS, 2022) 6
Jpkun Posted September 15, 2023 Posted September 15, 2023 (edited) October is about to be absolutely off the rails insane for us swifties. I can’t wait. Please bear with my clowning: She’s going to bring us a Cruel Summer tour video (different from the film) on either Sept 29 or oct 6 to serve as the main advertising for the film because why spend money to advertise when you can make money doing it? she’s going to have cruel summer hit number 1 finally the week starting with the film and hang on to it for a second week, only to replace it with a song from 1989 TV, which will be the first rerecord to break 1m units (I’m not as bullish about it beating the og’s first week but we shall see). anyone else have any other clown things to add Edited September 15, 2023 by Jpkun 2 1
