It’s smarter to release reputation TV in February rather than just announcing it in her Tokyo Shows.

 

Japan is a major music market and the pique of interest for her will be at an all-time high, and the TV would sell more essentially.

She just entered the top 20 artists of all time according to their methodology in the last few days, too, at 164.8m units. She’ll probably overtake Mariah (177.1m units, #16) by the end of the year at her current rate, thanks to 1989 TV being on the way. Passing Celine (199.2m, #14) would happen sometime next year. Madonna is at 247.8m units and #5, so it’ll be a while before Taylor takes the lead - but given her current trajectory it’s basically a lock for this decade.

I just watched Red White & Royal Blue after seeing sooooooooo many edits of the movie using Taylor's songs. Why on EARTH are people using London Boy or Miss Americana for this when I Can See You is just soooooo obviously the best song to describe most of their dynamic in the movie?

I guess if there’s any bright side to this it’s that everyone around her is probably aware that this could happen at any time, so at least they hopefully planned for it with security 

 

I hope she’s eventually able to lead a relatively normal life in public. There should be like, fines or something for this kind of behavior from fans.
