I’m used to all the TVs. Some are more or less noticeably “different”. I just like calling some songs (especially Red’s) botched for sake of ATRL kii.

Sometimes actually. I just have to ignore the EdLor swifties and their theories about that song and Dress being about him.

International artists are huge in Philippines. I mean how? Is English the 1st language there?

english is the second official language.

my friends tell me it's also the language of instruction there, so near everyone speaks it.

Is anybody familiar with international tour ticket purchases? Basically I’m wanting to go to the Eras Tour in February when it comes to Australia - but I’m having a hard time finding tickets (or at least tickets I know are good). VividSeats it seems doesn’t work in Australia and on Ticketmaster I can’t find any international dates beyond Canada - and the dates I see on StubHub are just general and say like “floor seat” or “lower bowl” or something like that which could be anywhere.  Does anyone have any suggestions?

And a lot of these countries only have top 40, 50 or 100 for their album charts

My biggest problem with this fanbase tbh. It's like only listening to/praising the "serious" songs make them feel superior about their music taste. Blah!

Exactly :rip:

The only way to buy resale tickets in Australia is through Ticketek Marketplace starting from September, don't buy from any other website because the tickets will not be valid!

not for years Country Artists struggled to hit Top 10 on Billboard Hot 100

like the last time I remember a country song hitting Top 10 is Cruise, and it even needed a remix with Nelly and boosted by Taylor's gimmick (as being asked by Scott Borchetta) to bop into it since Florida Georgia Line was under Big Machine

and now 3 country artists lining up to block Cruel Summer, her most organic smash hits ever since Blank Space??!

Apart from Taylor's music, the last chart topping country song I genuinely loved was Need you now by Lady Antebellum. That was an excellent song.

if she keeps at least 50M daily lead over BB, she’ll surpass him before the end of next month… as for Drake, at this pace, even with a new album, he’ll be dethroned early next at best, it would be insane if 1989 does enough damage to cover his new album’s effect and end up surpassing him before the end of the year…

Listening to midnights after a while and I think it's the new quintessential Taylor album. Red is celebrated as the essential album for the first 8 years or so of Taylor's career, as it straddles the country and pop sensibilities of her career up to that point. Midnights does the same thing for her entire almost two-decade-old career. It's not a coincidence that Taylor decided to make the monumental tenth studio album benchmark a celebration of her sonic endeavors on her past 9 albums, as Midnigths was created during the recording process of her past discography and consequently serves as an amalgamation of the essences of what makes each album special.

Midnights mixes the storytelling building blocks of her earlier career (Midnight Rain and You're on your own kid harken back to themes she explored on debut and Fearless), with pop-rock influences of Speak Now (You're on you own, kid), the camp of Red's pop songs (Karma, Bejeweled), the quirky 80s synth-pop and satirical self-awareness of 1989 (Anti-Hero is the love child of Out of the Woods sonically, and Blank Space lyrically, Mastermind is New Romantics younger sister lyrically, Maroon reminds me of Style), the dark, industrial, r&b tinged instrumentals of Reputation (Maroon, Midnight Rain, Glitch, Dear Reader), the offbeat sonics of Lover (Snow on the Beach and It's Nice to Have a Friend, Sweet Nothing/ You're Losing Me and Cornelia Street, The Archer and Labyrinth), the unrestrained and unconventional lyricism of folklore and evermore ( The Great War, Would've Could've Should've, Hits Different), and the perspective of a 30 something Taylor to deliver a collage of songs that honour and venerate her musical legacy so far.

I've noticed it for a while and it annoy the hell out of me how every time she has songs that are fun and a bit superficial, many Swifties are quick to call it crap. And i hate it, we need to be able to enjoy her fun, silly songs.

ikr?? it sorta started with SSS then WTNY/HYGTG, Gorgeous/TIWWCHNT and it got worse and worse with Lover, I know that we love her sad and depressing ****, but there's no way I'm terrorizing my mentality by playing them everyday...

Exactly! Different songs are meant to evoke different emotions.
