I feel like she will play the Super Bowl in 2025. :lakitu:

We know she declined this year because she wanted to finish the TVs first and if she does that for the remainder of the tour, she'll probably be done late next year: '1989 (TV)' this fall, 'reputation (TV)' next spring & 'Debut (TV)' in fall 2024, or something like that.

The 2025 Super Bowl will take place in New Orleans at the very stadium she'll be playing next October and that's usually also around the time the Halftime performer gets announced. So imagine her announcing to the crowd at her own show that she'll be back to headline the Super Bowl… it's just something she would do. :lakitu:

And looking beyond 2025, the 2026 Super Bowl takes place in Santa Clara, where Coldplay did their show in 2016 so it'd be a full daylight performance and I don't think she'd want that (cause let's be honest, daylight Halftime shows are ugly). And 2027 would probably be too late for her if she's done with the TVs by next year already.

So a lot of things are adding up for 2025. The timing is good, the venue is great, she'll likely just have finished releasing all TVs and doing the Super Bowl can serve as the ultimate victory lap for her re-recording project and her first 10 albums in general. :lakitu::lakitu:

But with the new dates added, when will she get the time to work on her Superbowl set? She's going to be headlining The Eras Tour until November 2024. She would need to put together a whole new show immediately after, with barely 2 months to rehearse. That seems really short, especially since she wouldn't have the time to recover after the tour is over.

under 60 points gap next week and her team still doesn't move

if Drake's lead single becomes a smash, it's over for CS

I know a #1 for Cruel Summer would look cute, but I don't understand why it has become such an important thing for the fanbase in general. Everyone is just asking where is the push. It's ok if Cruel Summer doesn't hit #1. I don't want a #1 if that means we have to get remixes that do nothing for the song.

But I 100% agree that it's about time we get a music video. The song is way too big to not have a visual attached to it. It won't do much for the song in terms of chart performance, but I think it's important for Cruel Summer's legacy.

The fact that this resurgence means that it's very likely to be included in her Superbowl performance setlist is the biggest win possible.

The actual rehearsals that involve the headliner usually only start after New Year's Eve, so she'd have a whole month to physically rest after her Toronto shows.

And she can decide on stuff like the setlist, the staging, concept, costumes etc. while she's doing the final shows, so that all of those things can be prepared while she's finishing the tour.

Katy Perry was touring until late December 2014 while preparing her Super Bowl performance for February of 2015 at the same time. So it's not impossible, it'll just require determination (which she has plenty of).

We want that #1 cuz we're bored lol :deadbanana4: SNTV era just came and went, her being on tour, my show is next year

On the other hand, she did all tactics for cardigan, willow and atw to secure those #1s but did nothing for CS

If the song flops, I will not give a *** about "the push" but CS is a hit and it has chance to hit #1

I'm gonna be so mad if she doesn't do the absolute minimum to promote this organic smash. All those tactics for Cardigan and Willow, especially Willow going against Mariah - THE Mariah - at Christmas, but nothing Cruel Summer so far? Serving a Puta stan at this point with this neglect for l_over

She should’ve released 1989 TV this summer and Speak Now TV this fall, they fit those seasons better imo

1989tv is a big damn album, i think there must be at least 2 seasons music drought after it's release

I mean there's something to be said for Taylor extending her streak of albums in a row with #1 hits from 3 (Red-Rep, folklore-midnights) to 7 :gaycat4:

Plus, Cruel Summer being her 13th pop radio #1 and her 10th Hot 100 #1 (making her the first female to have double digit #1 singles and albums) is very symbolic. I'm fine taking a few shitty remixes that no one would ever listen to beyond the first week for that. The optics aren't the best, but the only people bitching about remixes for other singles are people who are looking for a reason to ***** about something. Plus, a few of the remixes (Cardigan Cabin in Candlelight, Willow Dancing Witch, Anti-Hero Roosevelt, ATWTMVFTVSGAVRALPSS) are cute enough that I still go back from time to time.

We don't know whether she actually wants to perform at the Superbowl.  The superbowl's main effect nowadays is to have a few week increase in streaming numbers and a good increase in touring power. Those numbers are already so great for Taylor that the Superbowl itself likely wouldn't have a big impact.

I think the Superbowl performance is best used to soft relaunch a career after a down period instead of at an artist's commercial peak. Lady Gaga and Shakira/Jlo timed their Superbowl performances perfectledly while Katy and Abel wasted it on their imperial periods when they really should have done it later to help their next era.

She's definitely been asked multiple times to perform and I bet was asked even before her master's drama.

Girlies shes NOT doing the SuperBowl this decade. Stop it.

She literally does not need that show at all, her numbers would literally look the same pre vs post SB with marginal increases (which she could just see if she just said on Twitter 'stream Midnights' or whatever), she's that powerful now.

I can see her doing it in the 2030s or maybe late 2020s like 2028? But here and now? No way.

Her own tour is literally bigger than the Super Bowl at any venue. Its crazy.

Also Cruel Summer #1 pls Lover needs ha #1 hit! I'd love for Taylor to have the 'all my albums across from 2012 to now have at least 1 #1 smash :fan:
