I wonder if she'll add four more shows (maybe two more in Toronto and two more in London) and make it a nice and even 150 shows.

I definitely see them adding more US dates, I doubt this is it

When She plays Cornelia Street, Dress, DWOHT tomorrow for one of the surprise songs… :hoetenks:

I'm scared, I'm really scared.

Cornelia Street on guitar, hoax on piano. I can see it now.

Or maybe closure on piano. Aaaa.

Do you think streams will surge again with the new tour dates announcement :dies:

I guess this means TS11 is slightly more likely for 2025 or so now since she’s touring through the fall of 2024 - not that she couldn’t just release it during the tour too, though, since nothing about “Eras” suggests it can’t expand :celestial5:

Plus a surprise performance of The Alcott methinks :cries:

People moved on too quickly from this sing, and all the parallels to RWYLM :weeps: Her releasing this like 2 weeks after the Joe breakup :weeps:

I'd go to the corner in the back
Where you'd always be
And there you are, sittin' as usual
With your golden notebook
Writing something about someone
Who used to be me

I sit there silently
Waiting for you to look up
I see you smile when you see it's me
I had to do something
To break into your golden thinking
How many times will I do this
And you'll still believe?

And then the Illicit Affairs references

And I'll ruin it all over
I'll ruin it for you
I'll ruin it all over
And over like I always do

But almost everyone in this Base lacks intellect and can't understand

I think there will be a music break after the tour. The tour could even go into the first half of 2025 if she wants to please some more of her demand. All TV‘s will be released by than. In silence, she takes a break than works on the movie. No TS11 until 2026.

She is not going to wait 4 years for new music during her peak

8/3 - US & Canada tour dates

8/4 - Cruel Summer MV announcement

8/5 - Cruel Summer MV premiere

8/7 - Additional US & Canada tour dates

8/8 - Cruel Summer tour video release

8/9 - 1989 TV announcement

Now this would be an incredible way to conclude the first leg of the tour. :WAP:

This would be an overdose of content I don't think we'd be breathing on the other side :deadbanana2:

Of course, Taylor is slightly feral when it comes to these things so I'm totally on board with this actually happening :jonny5:

Wouldn't it be cute if she released a soundtrack song for The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes? :chick2:

There's a nice poetry to the film name that I think she has to :gaycat4:

Plus, one of her best songs of all time was attached to a Hunger Games soundtrack, so I don't see why that wouldn't work again :jonny5:

Yeah, I'm not sure why people don't think it's possible for her to release a new album while on tour. Yes she has to film videos, do a photoshoot and work on rollout planning, but she's clearly been in the studio a lot over the past few months, and there's no reason to think she couldn't be working on everything needed for an album now and in the months she has off in the future. It's also entirely possible that she releases an album and doesn't change the set-list to include any of the songs, or that she re-work some elements of the show and reboot Eras to include some songs from TS11 in the break between the London show and the Miami show. If folklore and the TVs have taught us anything, it should be that time doesn't matter and Taylor can release an album whenever she pleases.

The pattern thus far has been studio album, 2 TVs, studio album, TV (maybe 2, depends on what happens this week)..., and there's no reason I can foresee for that to change. Plus, the most recent newly written music we heard from Taylor, a woman who has literally never stopped writing songs), was written almost two years ago, and a lot of things in her life have changed in the time since, and I don't think Taylor wants to sit on the Joe breakup until 2025 (and I don't think she should, either). Frankly I think Q4 2024 is even a bit too far away, but it seems the most logical to me.

And a reboot of the tour to kick off a second half or so could be marketing genius, too - she could get that social media buzz and some streaming boosts all over again, even if maybe not as big.

I guess in that case I see a mid-tour new album being a little more likely. After all, the Eras tour is anything but a dedicated Midnights era experience and has the capacity for transformation. It’s just too good a promotional vehicle to not use, too - it’s done more for her commercial performance and public image than literally any traditional album cycle promotion she’s ever done.

Concept I thought of earlier: Evermore expanded edition, featuring Birch, Renegade, Carolina, The Alcott, and one new Evermore style collab track, then Evermore LPSS or some other acoustic live equivalent as disc 2. :alexz3: If she really wants to go for it she could add some live performances from the Eras Tour on another disc or something.

Exactly. Taylor (and 13M, and RR) are all well aware that this is her cultural and commercial peak in the US and around the world, and I really cannot fathom her not trying to capitalize on that with a new album. She has to know that a new album released immediately after a massive stadium tour of South America, Europe, and (some parts of) Asia would smash every single streaming record that Midnights collected and would cement her legacy in a lot of the world where she isn't as big as she is in the Anglosphere. If she adds another limited round of US/Asia/Europe dates in her top cities (maybe even just 6+ date residencies in MetLife, Gillette, SoFi, London, Paris, Tokyo, Singapore, Sydney, Melbourne) for Q2 2025, she'd come out the other side bigger than anyone has been in a very, very, very long time.

She is also not going to not release the re-recordings while on a record-breaking world tour specifically designed to promote the re-recordings

We will see. I was told the same when at the start of 2022 I was convinced she was going to release TS10 and almost everyone here said that I was wrong and she wasn’t going to interrupt re-recordings and we’ll i was right

Would’ve, Could’ve, Should’ve keeps growing on me. I don’t get how it didn’t hit me at first since it’s so clearly Midnights’ best evolution on the Evermore vibe - I guess I was just a little distracted by the pop song of things, and that’s fading now. Thank ******* god for Aaron Dessner :jonnycat:
