Weeks at #1 matter more than anything else, and he spent double-digit weeks at #1 on both the Hot 100 and BB200.

As far as I know, this is based on a points system based on charting position that values greatly being at #1. Morgan Wallen has been #1 on both Hot 100 and BB200 for months.

The good news is that, even without the tour, as long as the late summer and fall are a little more full in terms of releases, Taylor has a strong shot at still finishing first since his weeks at #1 will stop accumulating points so rapidly.

 

But yeah once the tour box scores are reported, she’s coming to obliterate even Morgan.

Touring in the rang that Morgan has adds very few points. 

 

Along with the #1 weeks that others mentioned he has charted a crazy amount of songs on the Hot 100.

But yeah Taylor will build a nice lead now even before her boxscores come in

Off the top of my head, I think she usually sells a little more than half her units outside the US yearly, if I recall, so I’m pretty sure she’ll move over 25m units worldwide this year.
