We had to laugh ma'am. Just the title Paper Rings is a cringefest. Imagine the reception for the album if Cruel Summer, Cornelia Street, Daylight, False God, DBAC and the title track weren't there to salvage from the wreck.

Lover (79) was more well received by critics than reputation (71, her lowest MC score ever) and the public seems to have reacted the same seeing as its longevity on the BB200 >>>>> reputation's and its daily streams are completely stompíng on reputation's too (with the "cringefest" Paper Rings leading the pack)

Michael196 Posted May 12, 2022 Posted May 12, 2022 As much as I want an announcement right now, I would love it if she only congratulates Kendrick on friday, she can even plant a hint in the tweet and end it with 5 blue hearts... it would be rude to capitalize on his hype, even if it’s not intentional and even if she has actual hype without the need of anyone else. Also, she waited 6 months, a week or two more won’t hurt anyone...

Horrible, cringy song Oh we love some London Twink lashings. That song is indeed as diabolical as ME!th and IFTYE. Quote If anything being a deluxe track made people overlook it. In fact, its streams are extremely impressive and will likely end up as the third most streamed song from evermore I get that and I definitely think it should have been on the standard replacing diarrhea or long story sh*t. I just think the deluxe treatment kinda helped it within our fanbase making people love it more and thus getting that "underdog" title Edited May 12, 2022 by State of Grace.

Loser stans know it’s an inconsistent mess and a stain to an otherwise perfect discography and thus feel the need to try and convince us otherwise every chance they get. Considering Lover is like 10x better than Regurgitation …

Gotta somehow compensate for the deficit in #1 singles, 1M first week sales and multiple weeks at #1 on the BB200. We know LoSer benefitted from poptimism largely due to being marketed as her safe "return to form" pop album. Godputation achieving a 71 amidst a hate train will still be more impressive.
mypaintoyou Posted May 12, 2022 Posted May 12, 2022 Some of the swifties are so annoying and gullible I had to block some on twitter and tik toks they annoying clowns but I hope this hoe announces soemthing I’m in despair
PoisonedIvy Posted May 12, 2022 Posted May 12, 2022 (edited) I’m not excited for 1989 TV. I’m sorry but the fact the album starts with Welcome to New York just makes that listening experience a travesty. She’s going to throw away all the goodwill she’s earned the last 3 years when the GP hears that alone no amount of mature vocals or updated production can save that song. Hell it could get Girl At Home’d and still be terrible. Edited May 12, 2022 by WeFoundTrouble

At least the drums will punch.

Love Story is at 637,905 when TV and OG are combined, You Belong with Me is at 560,439; I Knew You Were Trouble is at 553,126 and We Are Never... is at 447,058 so that's enough to shoot all of the big singles into the top 10.
Kyle-x Posted May 12, 2022 Posted May 12, 2022 I think it's weird how Fearless (song), Fifteen and White Horse are all wayyyy above the album tracks in streams on the OG album and are nearing the 100 million mark but on Taylor's Version they're only slightly above the albums tracks or even below them (The Way I Loved You is demolishing while Hey Stephen and Forever & Always are slightly ahead/on par with the latter two). Fifteen and, to a lesser extent, White Horse have always felt like pretty big enduring classics but I guess as time goes on only the real big smashes stand out to accumulate big recurrent streams. It's also interesting how Red (song) has eaten up all of the other singles from the original album and will be the first of them to pass the 100 million mark on Taylor's Version (not counting ATW of course). I wonder if that trend will continue over time or if as WANEGBT, IKYWT and 22 TVs get added to new playlists they start to pull ahead.

One of her best songs! The way the tour version AND acoustic version snaps as well. She made an ANTHEM with King of My Heart! Stadium Electropop! Not everyone can relate to being performed at sold out stadiums.
