if it’s true she is insane for this:rip:

I hate the “X day is national x day” theories :rip:. They’re always such a reach, her easter eggs are very simple (most of the time).

I still remember when she said the title of TS6 was in the ME! video and there was a huge ******* sign that said "Lover", but because it seemed so obvious people started saying it would be called “kaleidoscope” or some weird sh*t :bibliahh:

Some Swifties serve QAnoners with their reaching and theories :skull: Like, most of her Easter Eggs aren't even that complicated (like a lot of us were thinking that she was brewing something with the "not a lot going on at the moment" photos especially the second one).

I could kinda see folklore/evermore as a stepping stone to something even greater. Now that she’s entered alternative territory, there’s so many ways she can go, the possibilities are much less restricting than in country or pop.

Taylor’s always been smart that she’s kept her musical evolution relatively slow, and deliberately so, in my opinion. There’s always been room for improvement. Could she have written electronic pop hits and folklorian lyricism in 2010? Yes, I believe so. Or at least, she could have tried. But by not playing all her cards immediately, she’s been able to sustain a really long career. Compare her to Olivia, who’s already been a teenage sweetheart, then a punk-rock chick, then a grown-up beauty queen in the span of one year. I fear it’ll affect her longevity, but we’ll see though.

For future Taylor projects, alternative would allow her to explore a sonic world that is entirely her own. So far, she’s mostly gone for fail-proof production borrowed from the past or from contemporary music. Alternative as a genre allows her to explore even more!

Yeah Folklore/Evermore are fascinating because of the sheer speed at which she was able to make two 17-track masterpieces. It's like she was holding in all of this pent up songcraft since Red (it was lowkey pre-destined that she would go folk after pop so she had probably been planning and the pandemic just provided the perfect moment) and she was finally ready to unload it all at once. I would guess that she's using the re-recording process to pause creation of new music and reevaluate where she wants to go next in order to construct something totally different.

It makes me think the folklore/evermore style of songwriting is the one that comes most naturally to Taylor. She could probably write a folkmore song every other day if she had to. No requirement to write super personal lyrics, no need for the melodies to be instantly catchy. This also makes me even more excited for where she’s going next, cause we know she loves to challenge herself.

RWYLM is TRULY the greatest song of Her career. It’ll only keep rising as more people realize this. I imagine it would already be #1 if it hadn’t been unfairly made a bonus track :jonnycat:

Will never understand the love for Paper Rings though. A skip!
