The mixing on REDTV is off, but not in a technical way. Sound mixing for music nowadays is much more vocal forward, and a LOT less loud than everything around the early 2010s.

Like, Rowe is engineering the sound of the music according to what the current trends are but since we're so used to the original recordings it just sounds...wrong.

This is a really good way to express what I've been trying to say forever! It's going to sound different because it's updated to now.

I actually like the changes, they make the songs sound less of their time like ikywt sounds so 2012 but the new one sounds more in line with what's current

Edit: quoted myself by accident but can't delete quotes ever

It has to be the mixing on the TVs :rip:

This version of IKYWT is actually quite decent, but there's something about how she's just not on the right note for the "IIIII" in the first line of the chorus of 22 (which is why I still prefer the original vocal take there by far). It's definitely flat compared to the original, and it's one of the most bothersome differences for me.

Hack can stay but he shouldn't be the sole producer for TS11. Him producing only one song on evermore worked perfectly

Forget signed CDs, even just selling regular CDs and vinyl at her merch stands would give her albums quite the sizable boost I feel like. People would definitely buy them in the heat of the moment as they're getting ready for the concert.

I really wonder why she isn't selling any of her music at her shows.

Yeah you’re absolutely right. I’m sad she isn’t because she would be pushing 10k more pure sales per week at a minimum imo (I assume at least) :rip:

It absolutely is

I feel like the mixing was also butchered on State of Grace TV :cries:

It's horrifying to see you all keep downplaying 1989's greatness for no reason (to act cool maybe).

Only folklore (another AOTY winner) is better than 1989. 1989 remains her most iconic album.

The Last Time too. :WAP:

Ed could never. I fear for LegEnd Game and his loser vocals.

The best thing would be End Game being solo. Would love more BARS from Taylor like her third verse.

End & Future could be a remix instead.

I haven't even heard Red TV in full nor do I intend to, tbh. Listened to only WANEGOD and Red, the former to check out how horrible it actually is and the latter because everyone was raving about it, and the vault tracks, obviously.

Glad to see what this whole rerecording process is doing for her career but I can't bring myself to get excited about them. Like, I've played all her albums to death, especially 1989, acapellas, instrumentals, karaoke versions and all that **** too. I couldn't help but just focus on the differences if I sat through the TVs, which doesn't sound like an interesting listening experience to me.

It's definitely great for those who didn't get into Taylor until her later albums, though.
